This is my Kyosho mantis, everything is good and working I have added a new air filter, fuel filter upgraded the throttle servo which came from a kyosho inferno neo 2.0. The nitro engine is tuned and starts very easily. It is fwd and has a kyosho gx12 engine.It comes with the crystal but AA batteries are not included and you will need to use your own nitro fuel (I used 25%). This is my Kyosho Inferno Neo 2.0 rolling chassis brushless as you see it is missing an esc fan, receiver, transmitter, pinion gear, middle gear, two new tyres because they ballooned and exploded.It has a 1570kv tomcat motor (8s capable) and a surpass hobby 150a esc (no fan) I was running this car on 6s. The fan mount has stripped .I am open to trade (rc related). £90 collection or £100 posted. Any questions just ask me.

Apologies for the newbie question. After not owning an RC since the mid 80’s I’ve just built my Turbo Optima RE RE and everything is fine except for one thing. The slightest bump and the left hand side of the Servo Saver link bar (see pic and manual) keeps popping off. I’m not sure if that is a ’thing’ with the Turbo Optimas or I have done something wrong. I am hoping to run it at my local track but am concerned that I am going to be constantly popping it back on lap after lap. Any help is greatly appreciated. 30619_TURBO_OPTIMA_IM.pdf

The Mini-Z 4x4 has got to be the best proof that you don't need a big crawler to have fun. With these 1:24 scale machines, you can take them anywhere and there are so many places to have scale driving adventures. Hello all, firstly a confession... I have always liked the idea of RC Cars but have never really got into the hobby and I know absolutely nothing about them. However; I have recently caught the bug and pledge to become a better person and make up for all that lost time! I was clearing out the garage and found my childhood Tyco Hijacker looking up at me, along with a beaten up, dusty RC I had never given a 2nd glance since inheriting it from my step brother whilst clearing my things from my mom and step dad's loft. After spending more time than I should cleaning the HiJacker and realising it was completely shot, I turned my attention to the other car. So, I'm an engineer, and and the first thing that I had never noticed was the intricacy of the swing arm mechanism, followed by everything else that I could see... now I'm inerested! I cleaned off some dust from the body and rear wing and read "Kyosho" and "Optima Mid Custom". I typed these into everyone's favourite Internet search engine and... Well, let's just say she no longer lives in the garage and I have completed my 10,000 hail Mary's to repent for my sins! After that inexcusably long introduction, I'm going to be rebuilding her. Considering this is my first venture into RC car restoration, I will not be making any modifications to the spec - just a deep clean and replacement of parts as necessary. I'll add pictures as I go, and will no doubt be asking for lots of help from this community along the way. I really hope that I can do the old girl the justice she deserves!

Here's an old kyosho truck. Hailing from 1982, this vintage model is incredibly rare. I will soon be embarking on a little restoration to get her running once more. Here's a little video showing the hunt for information was a little fraught in itself.

I finally decided to buy myself a Kyosho Mini-Z 4x4 1:24 scale crawler to see if they are as good as they look. I got the new version of the 4Runner which now comes with "Quick Sand" paint scheme and additional accessory parts for increased scale realism. That is basically a raised air intake and a roof rack with 4 spotlights. Previously I was put off by the high price but I got a great deal online so decided to give it a try. The detailing is very good, much better than my ROC Hobby Katana. I also added a LED light kit and I'm very pleased with my new purchase. Hello all I'm new to all of this forum stuff! I have an old Kyosho mini inferno and wandered whether anyone has an ESC kicking around? I know lots of people upgrade to brushless so am guessing there must be loads abandoned in drawers!

I was lucky enough to be given a Kyosho Fazer Aston Martin DBR9 over the weekend, I know a bit of it's history, hasn't been used for at least 6 months and may or may not have been broken in. I replaced the batteries in the car and drained the fuel and topped-up with fresh stuff and charged the glow plug heater. I primed the fuel line, gave a tug and it started first time - then died and refuses to start. I added a little trim to open the barrel but this just seems to flood the motor, meaning glow plug out and drain it. The glow plug works OK, glowing nicely in the charger. I downloaded the manual off their website, but being an RTR there is nothing about setting up the carb or even rebuilding it. So let's assume this car is straight out of the box and won't run - where do I start?
