  1. HPI Savage XS Flux 1/10 Mini Monster Truck *tonnes of spares and batteries* | eBay ***SOLD*** HPI Savage XS Flux 1/10 Mini Monster Truck *tonnes of spares and batteries*. This Savage XS is as it's name suggest; an absolute beast. I had this on 2s the whole time I owned it and had so much trouble keeping it on 4 wheels that I didn't bother going for the 3s! The power is insane. It comes with 5 x 5300mah 30-60c Turnigy Nano-tech lithium polymer batteries. These are of varying ages, but don't have any bowing or expansion. I've tested charging 2 of them recently and ran them through a full discharge no problem. I've ALWAYS balance charged them and after EVERY session we put them into storage voltage. So they should be good to go once fully charged again. They are a couple of years old though so can't claim that they are in perfect condition, but they'll be absolutely fine for a good number of bashing sessions! Comes with a 2/3s lipo single battery balance charger, you'll probably want to look at getting a multi charger if you're going to use them a lot. Definitely worth the money, but to get you running, the single battery balance charger will work perfectly. This sale comes with absolutely everything you need to get going. Nothing else required. Just charge the stored batteries to full capacity and off you go! I have also included a firesafe charging pouch. I've never had any issues with charging but always better safe than sorry. I have included 2 shells, the original that came with the car and an unpainted Chevrolet El Camino SS body. The original body is in okay condition, bit scratched up, but generally good. Especially good considering how often this thing ends up on its roof! I have always covered the body with electrical tape to avoid the worst of the damage as I advise you do, otherwise you'll be buying a new shell really quickly! I've included a picture of the shell with all the protection tape on and you can see the condition that the tape gets into so Its definitely worth covering those areas. The shell will come with all tape removed at the moment and you can see what condition it is in in the photos. Few scratches and scrapes, but not worn through anywhere still solid. The 2nd unpainted shell is the El Camino SS. We bought it as my son loved police vehicles when he was young and we were planning on decking it out in police colours and adding the police decals. So there is a full set of original el camino decals and a full set of police decals. As well as a police light that we intended to fit to the new body, but never quite got around to. I did fit an additional connector to the ESC and it is programmed to work, so if you fit the lights to the extra connector that's attached to the body they do light up. I have a short video of them working if anyone wants to see it. I have recently replaced the whole clutch and all bearings in the gearbox. The slipper plates were worn, so I stripped the whole gearbox, replaced both clutch plates and the slipper pads, as well as regreasing and replacing every bearing in the gearbox. So should be in excellent condition. There are a TONNE of extras and spares coming with this as you can see in the photos. The most important being the cup joints for all 4 wheels. This thing churns through these like butter! But they are really easy to replace. I've also included 3 tiny drive shaft grub screws as these have a tendency to fall out! I've Loctited in the existing one, but they always find a way to work free, and that'll end your session right there as you lose drive. But with the 3 spares, you should have no problem. I have also included a spare ESC, but I can't actually remember if it fits or not! I bought it a while back as the main ESC had failed and I was waiting on a replacement OEM one but bought that to use in the interim from the local hobby shop. But I can't remember if I ever actually fitted it! The OEM one arrived quite quickly so I may never have bothered! It comes with a spare set of original tyres and inserts, 2 of which are used 2 of which are brand new. The tyres that are on it now are not original, they are actually a good bit smaller than the original ones, but the grip on these tyres is so much better. They were upgraded and had to be pulled over the existing wheels, so they are a snug fit to say the least, but the level of grip these ones give compared to the OEM tyres is 2nd to none. I would probably move back to larger tyres once these ones wear through just to get a better fit, but for now they will give you tonnes of grip and some great fun. The wheels have been superglued to the tyres a few times so you can see the remnants of that on the rims of the wheels, but this doesn't affect them at all and they are all solid with no cracks or issues. This little thing is an absolute beast so much so that it's quite difficult to keep it on the ground. It will flip and spin at the slightest touch! So be wary!
  2. And since i trying to tune it after breaking it in it hasn't ran properly any help and advice would be greatly appreciated
  3. Hi guys fairly new to rc trucks I recently purchased a hpi jumpshot short course truck 1/10 2wd im looking to upgrade some of the factory parts with aluminium parts where is the best to look... Also im looking for a decent monster truck shell like grave digger or big foot shell what would you guys recommend please ? This currently had a absima brushless combo motor 9t I was told when I got it Lovely bit of kit Thanks guys hopefully I get some helpful responses Regards Dan
  4. Hi all, I am new to this forum so forgive me if this has been asked already! I have a HPI Trophy 3.5. So, after installing a 3 piece clutch (abisma did a kit so opted for that for the time being) and the buggy not being ran for some time I decided to give it a little bash in the garden. Only issue is when cold, the buggy idle's perfectly fine, once it starts to get warm you can physically see the car trying to edge forward and when fully warm and the buggy has been ran around for a little while it doesn't idle at a stand still it constantly wants to move (unless applying the brakes). The gap is at 1mm or so too! Also when coming off the accelerator it bogs and when it is idling (when warm) sounds very lean although all the needles are almost factory. I'm so baffled as to what I need to do to ensure it idles correctly. I have read many different threads (not being a member) and now very confused. Can someone point me in the right direction?!
  5. HI all, I have an Ion Maverick Rx (rally shell), but the shell breaks easier than an egg and its far too big. Do you know if i could swap it by any of the other shells in the maverick range? Or is there any other shell i could buy that would fit? something smaller than the rx one though, maybe something like the DT? BEst
  6. Hi all. Bit of a back story to start with. I've been out of the rc game for about 10 years. My interest started again a month or so ago and I've been looking around for what to get. My two main criteria is it has to be a kit rather than rtr which seems to be all the rage right now and must be an off road buggy. I started looking at 2wd electric 1:10 scale but things have escalated a bit I've owned electric and nitro in the past and have always wondered about petrol and in particular the Baja. Now however when I find myself seriously looking into it I keep on seeing comments on how fragile it is, always breaking, unreliable, expensive parts and in general over priced. That being said they still seem to be very popular and currently out of stock in most places. I thought I'd turn to you fine fellows for your opinions. I'm still keeping an open mind as to what rc car to get. Electric 2wd kits seem ok but they just seem too fiddly and soulless with esc, fail safes etc. Nitro is slightly better but I do feel I've done that to death which leaves petrol. Hope y'all can help me decide. Also any comments from hpi baja owners on their experience would be greatly appreciated.
  7. This car was a pre-owned HPI Trophy, that I expected to have a 3.5 (.21) engine, but on closer inspection most of the 3.5s have a black cooling head where this one is purple which is more in keeping with the 4.6, it is low on power and I want to rebuild it but with what parts? There are no size markings anywhere on the casings.
  8. hi everyone i'm new to all this! please can you help i have a hpi car but i'm not sure what model it is? i want to do some aluminium upgrades but not sure what stuff to buy as not sure what will fit any help would be appreciated thankyou
  9. Afternoon all, had a garage clear out and found my RC car 😀!! I've put it back together, freed off a sticky carb, but forgot it has a broken front wishbone and ive lost the two front drive shafts, does anyone know of parts that are compatible struggling to find replacements and had a read on here about HPI going into administration! Many thanks Chris

  11. Since I bought the Losi 5ive, I have been looking for a suitable LiPo to replace the stock NiMh. Yes, I could have spent
  12. I have a HPI Baja 5B SS and some of yous may know me from the other forum. I do not know what is wrong with my steering servo. When the car is lifted from the ground, the steering seems tow work fine, but when it is on the ground, it struggles to move to the right and the left. Thern, when it is moving, espicially at high speeds, it does not turn right at all, only left? Someone please tell me what is going on?! It's not a good idea to take it out with dodgy steering and no brakes!
  13. Well here I am, my first thread in the Petrol sub-forum! I am now the proud owner of an HPI Baja 5b 2.0 and a very happy RC enthusiast!! I got it today and if anybody read my status update from a couple of days ago they would have know this was long overdue, I have been looking for a while. I got this Baja form a guy on eBay and it's almost brand new, apparently only had half a tank through and from the looks of the underside of the chassis I would say this to be true. It's mint and started first time!! The only upgrade this came with is the RPM Spark Plug Guard, the rest of the truck is stock. I do intend on beefing up certain parts but don't intend on going OTT, famous last words I hear y'all say! lol Here's a quick pic as it stands now, odds on how long it stays like this?? Will update this thread with pics, videos and upgrades etc. Comments, suggests and advice all welcome, cheers guys.
