Afternoon, I am posting in relation to an application I am completing as the final part of my Degree in Software engineering. I am hoping to gain the views of the RC community as to what features you would expect and/or like to see in an application of this type. This is to allow me to gain a list of end user requirements to incorporate in the design and production of an RC engineering application. My intention is to build a mobile/web application, on which the user can record current vehicle specifications and performance statistics, allowing the user to track the progress of each build and how each modification impacts upon vehicle performance. · Each build would have a unique label · Ability to upload an images · A form in which users can document the elements of the vehicle, including part type, material, weight and in respect of electronics there would be additional options to record the attributes of components used · Store data for each run including the date, location and GPS result · View a performance chart created primarily from speed run data, displayed as a line graph, providing the user with an overview of their progress to date. The user should be able to access build data on demand using the unique identifier/label, with the ability to download as an appropriate file type, print or share. The application could also include a news element where users achievements can be displayed and an events section where upcoming events can be advertised, and users can arrange informal ‘bashing’ or more formal ‘speed runs’. Additionally, I would like to include the ability for users to access repair/upgrade ‘how to guides’ and connect with other users to share their expertise and provide support to one another. This is a general overview of what I intend to deliver and as stated previously would like to gain insight from the RC community to provide a more bespoke application. Many thanks David

Hi, This is a project I'm doing since 2014, in several iterations,as my skills progressed . The build is so old that the initial build pics were lost when PhotoBucket and TinyPic went down. Basically, it is a full custom truck with my very first scratchbuilt cab! After some months, started to think in adding portal boxes to the axles(remember that there was a time before portals were mainstream...). First, machined a prototype in metal to approve the concept and realized that couldn't do all this parts without a CNC. I was aiming for the "casted steel" look and decided to 3D print. First prototype came like this: (Note: my first child was born the day after ...) Improved version on a scx10 axle with custom spherical ends to resemble the 1:1 but also because the portal boxes added 18mm to the width and these ends(and custom shafts) reduced 20mm Prototype of the rear ones: They looked great on SSD D60 housings

Right guys, i have a project in mind, this will depend on finances but i would like a Carisma scale ford F150 shell painting in the same colours as this 1/1 in the pic but my skills wont be up to this, is there a place that does bespoke, or do we have a resident expert paint person, like i say this all depends on how the pennies work out and also on the clear shell coming back into stock, also what chassis to fit it to, as i am thinking not a crawler but more scale look as per pic, a kind of trail rig for road and green lane

Hi, I have just bought the traxxas ken block rc car (brushless) and I am thinking about customising it , I have 2 lipo batteries and I'm planning on customising. So does anybody know where I can find some dirt tyres and wheels pre glued that would fit on this rc car ?
