  1. Glad your sorted. For the price you ant go wrong. I have been shocked how capable it is and that's in my hands, I'm sure it will do far more than I'm currently capable of.
  2. I would also suggest Elden Ring, excellent game but if your not familiar with Souls games get yourself a note pad. There is no quest log or quest markers on the map and it certainly doesn't hold your hand. Assassins Creed Valhalla is also very good
  3. So I have had my ravine out twice now at the same spot in my local woods. Yesterday it was 100% stock, today it had upgraded tyres. I fit a set of Duratrax Deep Woods CR tyres. What in improvement, yesterday it would climb the hill but it needed full throttle with the wheels spinning. Today it would crawl up with minimal spinning. Also on the drop in there is a metal post, yesterday it would slide down and I passed the post on the left, today I could drive round the back to the right of thd post. Please bear in mind this is my first RC car in at least 30 years and my first go at Crawling, I have maybe 1 to 1.5 hours use when I took the video,
  4. Cheers Jack. I will look them up. I joined the Yorkshire RC group on Facebook but my first post is still prnging approval 10 days later. Hopefully Yorkshire RC Beasts are a different group. I go on holiday on Friday but once I'm back I would love to tag along if your going to the Moor, it would only take me 30 to 40 minutes to get there.
  5. I think he did. The video is before I found a helmet small enough for him.
  6. I just got myself a rock crawler and I'm looking for people to crawl with. Playing on your own is fun, playing with others is always better. I'm good to travel, my 10 scale just fits in my bikes top box and I'm happy to go to established spots or go exploring. Middleton Woods is massive and in 30 minutes yesterday I found a couple of interesting spots, I'm sure there will be great spots at Post Hill in Pudsey and on Otley Chevin. So if anyone is interested in playing out with a 50 year old noob or can point me towards a local club / group please reply.
  7. Touring the Alps once and I kept coming across a German couple with a dalmatian in the side car, its not for me though, if its anything other than 2 wheels I might as well use the car with the air con on.
  8. @GMballistic he is a very cool dude, unfortunately he was very sad during lock down so we got a second dog to keep him company, I looked at converting the top box for her but she grew just too big so bike touring is done now. Doesn't matter though because I come home to 2 happy puppies every day.
  9. I run a small air compressor, blower and vacuum pump service and repair company. I pay people to do the office work so I can work on site with the lads. I would go mad if I were in the office everyday.
  10. Some cracking photos on here. For my bit meet Spud my dog. He has done thousands of miles on the bike with us.
  11. Thanks guys. I have seen some crazy builds on the Ravine on YouTube. I may have picked up some better rubber whilst I was down at the shop. It will be interesting to see the difference when I go for a play in the morning.
  12. Thanks guys. I had my truck out this morning and I'm shocked how capable it is for a starter kit. Heading down to my local model shop now though, lost 3 of the 4 body clips in the woods 😂
  13. Hello folk. I decided to dip my toe in to the world of RC Rock Crawling and took delivery of a Ftx Ravine yesterday. I had a cheeky little play at work today and what a cracking little truck it is. For the money I don't think you can go wrong. Unfortunately as my profile says I tend to change sport / activity every 2 to 3 years and often get carried away with the new thing so I doubt it will be a cheap hobby for long. Looking forward to reading a bit on here and hopefully find some people to play out with locally. Playing on your own is fun but somethings are better done with others.
  14. Hi Pete. Also new to this but I wanted to add, I got a ravine yesterday and when mine is on charge the red light is solid and the green flashes and goes solid when fully charged. If I leave the charger plugged in with no battery on it just the red light illuminates.
