Here is a classic kyosho on road car. It’s in 7/10 condition. I bought it over the winter and somewhat restored it. I fully stripped it and cleaned it but didn’t actually replace anything except the glow plug. The front bumper is a bit cracked from when the batteries fell out of the controller and it ran away, but other than that it is perfect - other than a bit of oil on the chassis. It is so original - it has stiffer front springs from when it was built and even comes with a period correct glow plug - which is not in the engine. The glow plug in it has the copper washer - just so you know. It will come with 2 shells, both of which are slightly tatty, the astra not fitting perfectly. They are also original. The original controller will be included, with that mile long antenna! The engine runs perfectly, idling for an entire tank and giving plenty of power with a nice consistent smoke trail. It’s got the upgraded (period) exhaust. Overall, brilliant car, just not for me as i’m far more into bashing. Team associated mt10 - don’t have any experience myself but look really durable and fun on YouTube and I think there’s a thread on here for em. Ive got and old savage nitro that I scored for £150. Absolute tank and pulls wheelies even with a 12 year old nitro engine. I’m not an extreme basher by any means but it’s landed from about 8 foot onto one wheel and survived. If you’d wanna do nitro I would recommend 👍

Bought it! £40 and a 45 minute round trip in London so not too bad really 😁 I think it’s a (get ready for this catchy name) Kyosho Pureten alpha 2 with a gx12 engine. When I got it home I first thought the engine was locked, the carb was locked, the front diff was stripped and the servos were dead. Anyway, the engine was so gummed up with old jellied nitro that it wouldn’t budge and same for the carb. Copious amounts of degreaser and jiggling later, engine is free, smooth and the carb works perfectly. The engine even looks pretty un-run. The servos do work (with a charged battery 😂) and the diff issue was just a grubscrew. All in all a pretty good looking car that i hope to run this afternoon 🤞 Sorry for the long post 😁

Got back from holiday and was treated to some trailing arms, a wheelie bar and a header 😁

Ran it! The wheelie bar was rarely troubled on the loose leaves and sticks but the couple of times it stopped sliding and hooked up even slightly it worked great! Now I just need to get used to that disgusting green 🤮 Also, anyone know how to change a username? Mine is a little bit outdated now a couple cars have left!

Printed a rather garish green wheelie bar and fitted it to the old savage x. Took a while at 100% infill but they feel super sturdy. Gotta give credit to alexandrik on thingiverse for the design and it is a fab remodel of the original. I have actually bought a Chinese wheelie bar but I cannot wait the 3 weeks for it to come so I printed this 😁 p.s. it’s very green

Thanks mate! It’s most certainly not a new engine but it hasn’t been run for a while so I just reset it to factory settings. Thanks for the advice regarding the glow plug. The vid works for me if you wait like 10 really long seconds lol

Got it running for the first time!! One I finally got the idiot bearing to catch it started easily! After that it was incredibly easy to start however the thing wouldn’t run properly without the glow plug igniter in it. The plug looks and seems to work great so I’m wondering whether it’s jus too rich! I reset it to factory settings btw. Seems to sound good despite having one of those weird dual exhausts. It’ll rev and sound amazing but I’ve sorta run out of space on msuk so i could only include one rev. It also doesn’t particularly want to run on the ground. You can see the wheels spinning on my hi-tec brick car stand. Any ideas? Thanks to anyone and everyone who reads this meaty paragraph! IMG_3551.MOV

I hoped this would work lol but I tried this and it worked perfectly until fuel got in there and made it slip again 😞 I read on another forum that traxxas fuels can make it slip so I’m wondering whether my fuel is doing the same. It’s cheapo model technics that came with my hyper7 btw. I’ll try some optifuel in the near future but I just need to get it started and then it’ll be fine! Thank you!!

An HPI Savage x 4.6! This is my biggest rc and to me it seems massive! I’m really excited about driving it and have no idea how it’ll handle lol I’ll try and get some pics up but they keep turning upside down 😖 Technically it came yesterday but oh well edit: the roto start spins but the engine only turns over intermittently. Im thinking this could be a one-way bearing but I just don’t know! Ik this is the wrong thread but anybody have any idea? could I nick one out of my hyper 7 or would it not work? Thanks for any replies or help!!!

Got it running well again! Ive been having some problems with stalling and just getting it to run properly but I did the ‘pinch the fuel line’ test and it ran for 9 seconds before dying 😂 I leaned it out slowly until it ran nicely! Temps are ‘I think ok’ because I can hold my palm on the head for a good 8-9 secs before it hurts. I also have very small and soft palms! Loving nitro again and hoping to take it to a real spot soon! Also because I’m a child I’ve made the rear brakes operate only on the rear axle so you can do handbrake turns!

Here’s my newest 1! A gt helion 2016. It’s a weird bike because it’s accidentally ahead of it’s time. It’s a down country bike (from before they were called that) and it has high pivot suspension! It rides awesome as it’s my first full squish. × Also, anyone else go the the Surrey hills?
