  1. Looking at getting in to crawling a bit. Been looking at hobao dc1 kit @ £199 or a sca-1e alloy wheel range rover kit @ £249. I like the look of the range rover shell but the dc1 shell is starting to grow on me And I like the quality of the hyper 7 I have. But witch one would be the better kit to get in the long run.
  2. No it's not the one with the turbo fan it's had an sh engine fitted. I did press it in square and the right way. The shaft seemed to fit OK at first. I'll try and get a pic of the bearing to night. I thought grease would be a bad idea. I might fit the other bearing and see how it goes Thanks
  3. Hi all I got a used hyper 7 with a sh pt21-p3 engine I ran 2 tanks of fuel through it and the one way bearing went. Bought a new bearing, I removed the old one and fitted a new one using a small bearing puller. Once fitted it didn't work I had to spray some wd40 on it and it worked fine. Then took the buggy out again started fine a couple of times, then the next time the pull start stuck out. I striped it down to find the rollers in the bearing out of line, 2 of them were right at the front of the bearing the majority were sat in the middle and 1 was sat nearer the back of bearing. Now what I'm wanting to know is it something I have done (should I have put some grease in the bearing). Could it be a bad bearing it was supposed to be a ina bearing from years in the motor trade I have always found ina bearings to be good. Or could it be a problem with the engine it was supposed to be new and just broke in when I got it. But I haven't found much info on these engines on line. I have another bearing to try just want to make sure I'm doing it right before I try it again. Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated as I've just got back In to the hobby after 20 years away.
  4. Thanks mate looking forward to getting back on the track
  5. Never really looked at monster trucks I've looked at a few buggies and a few road cars. Been mostly looking at nitro as I have a rough idea of what I'm doing, and don't know what to look for with electric especially buying second hand. But could be tempted if the right deal came along.
  6. Hi I'm wez from the North East of England. I'm looking to get back in to the hobbie after a 20 year break lol. I had a hpi rs4 nitro (I think it was) back in 2001 I guess a lot of thing will have changed since then. I'm Looking about for info on getting a car to get back into it. I'll probably go with a second had one to start with as cash isn't as desposable now as it was when I was younger with kids and bills and everything else life throws at you. Not sure what I'm looking for yet but open to ideas to get back into it after all these years. Look forward to hearing from you all.
