  1. I've been into mine with no difficulties.. it is light on grease and lubricant pretty much everywhere but that is the same for every rtr I have ever owned, my shocks were fine and I just last week swapped the oil for some slightly heavier stuff. The drivetrain is much quieter now that the transfer box has some heavier grease in it. Performance wise, i will maintain is pretty good, wheels and some Injora silicone inserts have really helped, it's is constantly surprising because it looks really tippy with the bodyshell but isn't.
  2. Oh yeah I wouldn't dispute that, apart from the trx4 being more capable... If it is, it's not by much, my NT4 has sailed past a fair few stricken trx4's in the last few weekends. I have been into the portals, diffs and gearbox and it all looks suitably sturdy and it seems to like heavier oil in the shocks (600) I bought mine because I liked the shell and the reasonable level of performance as a trail truck has surprised me to be honest. But If was heading out to do some serious stuff it would be the Capra😂 I will keep mine semi scale and keep trucking....
  3. How reliable has yours been? Mine has many pretty hard hours on it now and the only issue I have had was with the locking diffs not operating too reliably. Turns out the slider for the locking mechanism was dry and had a bit of corrosion. Apart from that it has been very reliable.. A money pit insomuch as I'm spending on it (fusion pro inbound) plus some chevrons... But out on the trails it has been performing very very well alongside element and traxxas models.
  4. Looks great👍 I really wanted lights on the roof of mine but I have already had many tumbles and rolls.... Ideally I want to find something with a roll over bar over the top... I have switched the 5mm LEDs that came with my AliExpress lights to 3mm warm white (£1.41 for 15 with flying leads) which has made a huge difference to balance the lights out I also mounted one in each front wheel arch through the back, which work nicely as a dim rocklight for behind the bumper....you can see the glow in the pic...
  5. Sorry, clearly having issues with the pics, The yellow are wired and working but even behind the tinted lenses they are too cool and bright So I'm swapping them out for 3mm warm white LEDs, the bigger spots are not wired yet, they are mounted so far back to try and protect them, the LEDs will have to come through the bottom now as they are closed to the front grille
  6. So I have thrown about £60 at mine,..on Wheels Lights Paint - tamiya mustard yellow and racing green Shackles and 'scale' rope Paint stripper Some decals Quite a lot of time mind😂 Done about 6hrs of motoring, both trail and rocks.... It is surprisingly good at both despite the tall body.
  7. Cheers dude, located and ordered👍 Going back to spare availability... Not that I need any yet. I was surprised that mine came with no manual or exploded diagram showing part numbers in the box? Only the manual for the transmitter - which is already playing up🙄 Doesn't bode well😂
  8. Looks great! Have you got a link for this? I have tried searching Ali over and over again with no luck
  9. Mine arrived yesterday and I gave it it's first run today... It was choice between this or an ecto for me as well, but I decided that I wanted a more scale looking truck and that would keep my utb18 as a more performance orientated model. It's a nice truck and drives well out of the box, it does need a little weight low down so I have some wheels on the way for it. As, much like you I will be adding some "junk" and possibly the ally load bed... So can pile it up😄
  10. New wheels, tyres, camo wrap and added detail to the fuel tank of the utb18...
  11. Here's mine... I've added wheels and tyres with brass portals, hexs and overdrive gears on the way..... added some detail to the fuel cell and a digicam wrap! So far I've been quite impressed!
  12. Mine was new last April - never been wet or kept anywhere damp and all my screws and shafts have corrosion. I have two of the 3s as bashers and they've been abused in all conditions and the screws are still pretty good..... If you are flipping the mount does that mean it's going to be a 4060? or bigger? - before my stock ESC blew up I was considering a 4050 as I would like to retain the twin battery trays. Now that I may need a new esc I might go bigger but I can't find much information on wether a 4060 will fit in the stock location or not. I plan on using Onyx but I haven't contacted him yet as I am waiting to hear from logic on my warranty return on the ESC.
  13. Nice - I have been following with Interest since the first post as I also have an infraction and added a sky RC gnss at Christmas so I have been checking my own drag performance..... It seems to be easier on tyres than going sideways at 60mph! Are you going 8s with a castle motor? 15 or 17 series? Or are you waiting for an Italian job? My Firma ESC caught fire last week so I am thinking of a motor/esc upgrade too - 6s with an occasional 8s speedrun with supporting mods. I admire how clean you are keeping it, mine has never gotten damp and I still had rusty screws after 6 months!
  14. Big secret - sort of. It is at the Exmouth end.. It is a big complex of ramps and various drops including "the grave digger" drop. Lots of excellent slopes for crawling etc etc Will try and send a pm with a location
  15. It's been so long -I appear to have lost my login! Just to add that the Woodbury jumps are still there as I use them often (when I haven't had a breakage in a while) Although they have got busier in the last year with cyclists it is still a good spot for big air and breakages!
