  1. Hi. I need some help please. RC electronics are not my specialty. I've been learning by trial and error. I'm using a Fly Sky FS-T6 transmitter and I'm trying to wire up 3 lightning circuits on a scratch build boat. I've just discovered that there are only have 2 aux switches available for channels 5 &6 (I'm sure everybody else is perfectly aware that's the case) which I have used, so now I am, apparently, unable to operate the 3rd lighting circuit. Instead of trying to use 3 RC switches, can I use one 3 channel switch (or even a 2 channel) to control 2 of the lighting circuits - i.e. alternate between circuits using one aux switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated but please, make the reply as simple as possible. You're not dealing with any ordinary idiot here you know!😆 Thanks in advance.

  3. Hi. I'm trying to get used to using 2.4 radio gear and what it can do. I am assuming that '20 model memory' means each model can have it's own receiver and that you don't have to keep moving one receiver around all your models. I'm looking at getting a Flysky FS-T6 2.4GHz 6CH Mode 2 Transmitter W/Receiver R6. I'm running boats, so this gear is a little more than I need but I'd rather have that, to take care of any future 'multi-functions' I might build into a boat (lights, gun turrets etc..). Thanks in advance.
  4. Thank you for your response. The boat was originally powered by twin electric motors, driving a 'Z' drive through a gearbox. The gearbox disintegrated so I thought I'd try this conversion as a dummy run, before I do something similar to a larger boat. I've attached a picture of the boat as it was. It gives an idea of where the waterline might be. I take your point about mounting the jet drives towards the middle but the stepped hull makes it tricky at best and because the steps are not horizontal, the jet nozzles would probably not stay below the surface when steering, unless the boat banked enough during the turn. With that in mind, I've decided to 'fix' the nozzles and use a rudder. I'm a very experienced boat builder, so I'm making this up as I go along. Thanks again for your response. SIDI post.doc
  5. Hi, Does anyone have any experience of installing water jet drives into a hull? I'm looking at putting 2 into a fast electric hull but trying to measure anything on a boat hull is tricky to say the least. I'm doing what seems logical (that's the scary bit!!). Thanks in advance. Best Regards.
  6. Thank you (again) for the replies. The transmitter has a 'Mode 1/Mode2' switch and a'Fixed Wing/Delta' switch. I've selected 'Mode 1' (by accident!) and, surprise, surprise, actually read the almost non existent instructions, and selected 'Fixed Wing'. The the throttle 'reversed', it works!! The rudder is in Channel 4 and the ESC is in Channel 3. I think I'll still put it up for sale (probably not worth anything) and get something with multiple model memory. Thank you again for your help and suggestions. It's greatly appreciated. T.
  7. Hi! Back again! Before I go completely radio rental, this Etronix transmitter appears to want to have rudder (boat that is) on the left stick, while throttle is on the right stick but left to right instead of up and down. ???????!!!!???? I knew I should have stuck to marbles!! T.
  8. Thank you both for your replies. The TX I was supposed to get was an Etronix Pulse 2.0 Pro. Yes, I would prefer a stick type TX rather than a gun type, but thank you for the suggestion. Maybe I'll have to go that way anyhow. 🙂

    Hi. Newbee here. Perhaps my user name should be 'Don't get out much' because this is probably an extremely dumb question. I'm just getting back into my RC electric boats (also have a rock crawler and other cars) and thought it would be a good idea to upgrade to 2.4 GHZ and get multi model memory. Brought a secondhand Etronix transmitter that was supposed to be the 'Pro' version, with memory, but that was only written on the box. The transmitter that came out of the box was a 'standard' version with no memory. Stiff cheddar, huh? Anyhow, having bought some extra Etronix receivers to go with this here transmitter that now won't, my question is - can I use these receivers with another make of transmitter? (I can't find a 'Pro' version for sale anywhere). The second question is likely to be - 'Anybody wanna buy some Etronix receivers?' Thanks in advance. Best Regards.
