Has anyone tried a gool rc motor in a maverick ion.

I have broken the front left shock absorber on my maverick ion desert buggy. I have been hoping to buy some spare shocks since I bought it and am going to order some spares and a new one online. I Am also hoping to change the shock oil. Has anyone got any advice on what oil/grease to use.

Has anyone got any advice on upgrading a Maverick ion to brushless and has anyone got any advice on what motor, esc and receiver to use. I am probably looking at around £30-40 for a brushless motor and esc (a 370 size motor) and around £25 for a transmitter and receiver. I am hoping to use it with a 3s or 4s lipo. please give some advice.
