  1. Welcome from a fellow noob. I joined as my 7 year old daughter wanted an RC so I joined in and bought one with her.
  2. I have my own Lol. But I’m still very much a noob though. And wish to change bits on mine but not sure what I’m looking for. But have a separate thread on that. Mine is more hobby grade.
  3. none taken. She enjoys the car. Just me I think. Like to swap things around. Maybe comes from being a Lego fan.
  4. Hi all, So I was out with my rc today and took it on a bike pump track which was mostly gravel. I could barely keep the thing straight with no traction and it bouncing about. I‘d quite like to change the shocks and tyres. Think I need 60mm shocks but what about tyres? How do I know what to get? The diameter of the tyre is different on outer part of the tyre to the inner. Also seen metal upgrade parts as well but not sure if they are correct. WLtoy upgrades I’ve seen. It’s just a relatively cheap RC that’s somewhere between a toy and hobby grade I’d say. Seems to be sold under a few names like Absima thunder, HS18311 etc. Pic of the car is attached. thanks
  5. Hi all, so my daughter wanted an rc car for her birthday. She’s 7 so I just bought a cheap one off eBay for her first car. As I’m someone who likes to swap things around are you able to modify something like this? It’s a 1/10 scale car. I tried to take the motor housing apart but it looks like the motor is stuck in there with a fairly long pinion gear on it. I fancied putting a servo on, proper esc, better transmitter with some steering trim as it doesn’t drive straight as it is. Maybe even change wheels and tyres. Can it be done? Or am I wasting money and time? I’m still very much an rc noob. thanks.
  6. Hi, Just introducing myself. My seven year old wanted a RC car so I thought I’d get one to so I could join her. i went with a Hospeed HS18311 of eBay. Didn’t want to spend to much on my first car. Impressed with it so far but has little traction on path/road.
  7. Hi all, First time posting. So my 7 year wanted a rc to join me. Bought just a cheap one of eBay. We managed to have a head on impact. Mine was absolutely fine but it smashed the front body posts on hers. I’ve looked around but can’t find them anywhere. It’s just a cheap Chinese car. Any advice of fixing it? The post are where my finger and thumb are. Thanks for any help.
