  1. Hey guys! Time to part ways with my FTX Outlaw to move to another project, this car is super fun for bashing, but I'm moving into drift cars again. This is the brushless version and has some considerable updates made in last months - listed below. - Aluminium Chassis ( a bit scratched from use) - Aluminium rear trailing arms - Front guard protection - Custom boddyshell - Both diff replaced - Rear Axle replaced because one was a bit wobbly - New Hobbywing ESC 120A - Turnigy motor 3520KV Brushless - I'll put in some replacement parts that I had here sitting in case something broke all the pieces are FTX branded * Spur Gear *17T unused pinion gear - Shocks have been serviced with new RC core 400W silicon weight - Original Transmitter and receiver Also in the pack will follow the old Turnigy 80A ESC with the programming card that I replaced because it was cogging a bit. This is RTR but it will go without batteries, to be aware it still cogs a bit with the new ESC but if you are looking to bash around in parks or jumps this will perform crazy on 2S lipos, I was told that with 3S would solve this but I don't have any to prove it, this is a classic issue for non sensored motors The rims have been painted and are flaking a bit but they are ok, same for the tires are used but still can take a good beating. See all the pics below and feel free to PM if you have any questions, I'm looking to sell it as a lot. Price - £200 + postage
  2. Hey guys, I'm new to drift! I'm using the Maverick strada 4wd as an entry platform to learn and its quite nice!! Anyone based in London/East London that drifts as well and organise get together? Been drifting on my one and it would be great to have some company!! I also have an FTX Outlaw so I do some bashing in the BMX track I have close to my house! Feel free to hit me up and lets drift or bash!! Cya guys!
  3. hey mate! I'm in East London as well but I run electric, there's a cool spot here to bash if you interested in a bmx track. For nitro maybe try modelsports or ebay its usually a good place to start.
  4. Hey Luis!! How are you? I usually use this website for parts that I need - But I'm based in London not sure if they are shipping to Portugal at the moment but you can have an idea of parts for all the models you have - https://www.modelsport.co.uk/rc-car-spare-parts/spare-parts/1994 Hope it helps! Abraco!!
  5. Thank you for the suggestions, I did mess around with the programmer to see if I could have a better solution - But today I had the time to strip down both diffs and realize that they are not in the best of shapes so I have 2 Diff spurs coming my way - Plus I discovered that the last owner did not stated that he tried to lock the rear diff with some interesting gue that was making the inner gears not be aligned, but there were actually in good condition. After 2h of cleaning all that **** and putting a good amount of grease they sound better but I will give it another go once the new bits arrive - a few more days it will be ready for a proper bashing session!!
  6. I see, this one is not sensored but I have a programming card that allows me to fiddle with the motor timing - I need to research more about that as I don't know much details about that and online theres not much info about this product - Thank you for your help!
  7. Hey Guys! I Hope all are safe in these weird and crazy times! I've started a hobby that I left when I was very young! This has been great to keep myself busy in this time where we can do much so I'm quite happy I picked up on this. I have two cars at the moment - I started with a Maverick Strada DC Brushed for some drift that I'm getting quite into and enjoying and my last purchase a 2nd hand FTX Outlaw that became more than a project has it came with some issues that the seller did not mention. I'm dedicating my time to make sure I can have my FTX running good and ready for some bashing and jumps in the locar BMS track I have next to me - Based in East London. See yah guys!! Manny
  8. Hey! From what I saw from product reviews out of the box this is something that does not happens - Granted I did bought the car second hand with some updated parts that includes. Motor 3250KV ESC 80A Turnigy CVD shaft and other bits and bobs. I've attached a little video of what I was talking about - I can't seem to understand how to overcome - Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! WhatsApp Video 2020-05-21 at 23.30.15.mp4
  9. thank you for getting back to me! Sorry im quite new to the hobby can you tell me how can I see if the Electronics are sensored?
  10. Hey guys! I'm having a bit of an issue with my Outlaw - it is cogging when its on the ground I have checked the spur and pinion to see if they where meshing correctly and it seems to be I used the paper trick and it looks ok - While in the bench without any contact with the ground accelerates forward and back without any issue, when on the ground it makes a sound that it's slipping/cogging. I've tried to read several topics around this but theres never any answer - I have a turnigy 2s Lipo 5000MH brand new this is running a turnigy Motor/ESC 3250KV, 80A, I tried a lot of options to no solution I have ordered a new spur gear and a pinion just in case. Spur Gear 62T and Pinion 17T these are the original ones that come with the brushless motor. I've tested the motor on it's own and all the connections and theres no loss in continuity and it works fine - I'm a bit lost here on what to potentially do next to have the car fine. Thanks in advance guys!
  11. Hey! I'm having the same issues with my FTX outlaw - and I cant seem to find a solution did you manage to solve this problem?
