  1. I just ordered a HPI jumshot flux mt v2 to replace my tamiya wt-01 truck that I abused for the past 6 years, It was between this car or a corally triton but the HPI looks nicer and I think its more tough then the corally, can't wait to play with it when it is here.
  2. it is a nice car, I had one but modified it with long suspension arms, sct badlands wheels and castle 5700kv motor in it, but I was geting tired of the rollovers al the time, that why I sold it
  3. www.t2shop.de, they had 21 off them but they al sold in 12 hours
  4. 2 vw t1 flower power bodies prepainted with decals and parts, they where on sale and to cheap to let go, €14,90 per body set. and some wheels and tires for it. One of the bodies I am going to use as a shelfer, I have a spare ta-03 rs chassis laying around that I am going go put the body on, and the other is a spare to use on my m-05
  5. I really like the gmade shocks, I use them on 3 other cars I have, for the hoboa I am thinking buying these dual spring ones because the body is smaller then the normal ones. https://tamico.de/navi.php?a=238273&lang=eng
  6. You are beter of with a hobbywing 10bl60, I have stop using the tamiya TBLE-02 esc they are not very good I had a lot of problems with the tamiya esc and they do not have a lipo cut off so you have to use a lipo alarm. The hobbywing 60a is enough you do not need a 120a esc, I am running a castle 5700 kv moter in mine with a 15 tooth pinion and it is fine never had a shut down.
  7. I think the same tyres that you are using and a lot of people here on the dc-1, they do not have a lot of grip on loose dirt and sand, maybe I swap them for some proline hyrax or so if I when I have some money to spend on rc stuff, for now I run the car with these tyres.
  8. Its 7 weeks ago that I ran the car for the first time, today I run it for the second time, this time I used a 3s lipo instead of 2s. I like the car more on 3s just a little more torque en speed, I bend a suspension link, but I could bend it back with my hands it is not perfectly straight anymore but good enough for driving the car. So I like the car, the shocks need some work or a upgrade and maybe some better tires than these cheap chinese ones.
  9. Today first I replaced te wobbly rear axle, and them I went to the woods to give the car his first run, really like the car it climbs good over obstacles and steep climps, the only thing for me it needs some more power and wheelspeed I am running a 27 turn 550 brushed motor on 2s, the next time I am going to run it I put a 3s battery in it to wake it up a little. This is my first real crawler I am used to high power brushles cars, even my tamiya cc-01 with a 1740kv tenshock brushless motor on 2s has a lot more power and wheelspeed, I know this car is not made for speed but to me it is real slow and lack some power. After 50 minutes of running I noticed that the car hangs to one side, when I looked at the car I saw that I lost a spring retainer, lucky I had a tamiya retainer at home that fits.
  10. small criticism quality control is not the best with hobao, had to bought a new rear stub axle because one off them had a bad wobble in it and was not straight, today I received a new set of axles, one of them is straight, but the other one from the new set have also a bad wobble in it and is not straight😒😒
  11. No not really I just finished it on the end of the day, run it a little in mine tiny garden, next week I am going to take it to the woods.
  12. So it took some time but mine is done, the only problems I have with mine is that some parts are made by a drunk chinees, at first the center coupler driveshaft was not straight and had a bad wobble, then I discovered that the rear stub axle had a very bad wobble in it and was also not straight the whole axle housing wobbles with it, so I ordered a set of new ones that is the only thing I have to replace when they arrive, and now I have to run it in the woods this week.
  13. Good job the car is looks nice and I like the 2 colors, the only thing you have to do is make it dirty😜. I hope I can finish mine in the end of next week, still waiting for parts to arrive.
  14. So now that I have to wait a few weeks for the driveshaft and light kit, I odered the 4 link kit with the servo on axle mount and an alloy servo horn, did not like the the servo up in the chassis with the push rod on a steep angle.
  15. sometimes it happens that you get a faulty part that is not made right.
  16. There is not a misaligned here and you can't put the gearboxes in the wrong way, its is the shaft that is not straight on mine it has a wobble in it and being solid it has no give, the gearboxes wobble in the chassis with this shaft, I ordered a flexilbe shaft I can't see why it wil not work they are used most of the time in crawlers. ordered this one https://www.asiatees.com/display?Boom-Racing-All-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Miscellaneous&model=All&id=152626&pid=1
  17. Mine is fits and goes straight in but the driveshaft is not straight and being solid it has no give, you can see the gearboxes wobble in the chassis with this shaft, so thats not good for the bearings and gears, I ordered this one, and a light kit and metal hooks, the only thing I hate that the project is now on hold for some weeks. https://www.asiatees.com/display?Boom-Racing-All-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Miscellaneous&model=All&id=152626&pid=1
  18. Today it was one of those days, one step forward en 3 steps back, thought I had almost a rolling chassis and I had only put the esc and reciever in and put the wheels on, when I tested the car without wheels I ran into 2 problems, the first one was that the rear and front axle rotate in the opposite way from each other so the front go forward and the rear goes backwards, that was an easy fix swapped the ring gear on the rear axle to the other side and problem fixed. But then the biggest problem that I have is with the solid drive shaft between the 2 gearboxes, mine is not straight so it vibrate the whole car and you can see the gearboxes moving in the chassis so thats not good, I am going to search for a different kind of driveshaft that is not one solid piece. for me it is a little bit of a odd choice to use a solid shaft, if the gearboxes are not aligned 100% or the shaft is not straight you got a problem. So I had to remove the axle centergearbox and some other stuff, so not so much as a rolling chassis now😬
  19. The postman bring me beadlocks wheels and new tires yesterday, today I put them together, I really like the wheels.
  20. It is addiction, I think I owned more then 40 cars in 6 years, redused it to 7cars last year but now I am back at 14 cars, I can help myself always looking for a bargain or something new to buy even if I just had bought a new car, and the covid thing sitting a lot at home with nothing to do did not help to stop it. But 40 was a little to much, the cars that I own now are a mix of onroad cars, offroad cars, crawler and 1/8 and1/10 scale monster trucks and buggies.
  21. You building it on a much faster pace then I do 😁, building mine in a super slow pace, with the weather being nice I spend my time more on driving my rc cars, and save the build for rainy days, and If I build it to fast then I want to buy something new to build, and I spend allready to much the last 2 months. But nice to see you having fun building it, and have fun driving it when it is done👍
  22. Put the steering servo and the shift servo in today, I had to order another shift servo, I had a micro servo but that was to big ,ordered one from hobbyking and this one fits fine. Program the shift servo on my radiolink 4 channel radio, it work like a charm there is a push button that u can use with the 3 and 4 channel. And built some part of the axle.
