  1. Slower you charge, longer the batteries will last. Not per run, I mean they will deteriorate slower over time.
  2. It's not the mesh, its stones getting in the bottom of the gear. Either side of the gear housing are small holes where stones get in, jam between the gear and the chassis and strip the gear. Put tape across both holes. The front one is small and easy, the rear hole is a bit fiddly but you can cover it up to the drive shaft. Every time you take the gear cover off you'll have to replace again but you won't have to take the cover off much because you won't strip gears all the time. It's a known issue. If you look around other people have other solutions but that works for me.
  3. Just remember that all the ones this size you have to cut away a lot of the side and around to the front bumper to give the wheels room.
  4. Here is the red one. Was starting to look well scraped up lately so I finally pealed the clear plastic off. Almost like new again despite having done more than a few trips down the tarmac on its roof.
  5. https://www.banggood.com/110-RC-On-Road-Drift-Car-Body-Painted-PVC-Shell-for-Lexu-s-LF-A-Vehicle-p-1434465.html?cur_warehouse=CN There you go. Also.... https://www.gearbest.com/rc-car-parts/pp_009720496732.html?wid=1433363 There are loads that should fit on both those sites. Some of the short course truck ones should fit well. Sometimes they get a bit squished in the post but from the 3 I had delivered from China, only one was very slightly bent and it bent back fine. They also do a ton of stuff like tyres, wings, lights, etc...
  6. What's the rule on posting pics? I can't upload another of the red one as it says I only have 1.8mb left.
  7. Banggood. £11.34 at the moment delivery included. Cost me £6.42 when bought. Takes a lot of cutting for the wheels to fit and I ended up heating it slightly to bend the bumper in a bit. It still has the clear plastic manufacturing cover on. I leave that on for a year till it is very scratched up, Peal it off and the car is like new again. Gearbest do a nice Orange one. Seems to be a standard mould that they paint up differently.
  8. Sounds to me like you are looking in the wrong place for the problem. Car is slow, batteries only last 5 mins, Lipo runs it fast but it burns up the speed control.... Sounds like you have something binding in the drivetrain. Put it on the floor and push it, does it roll ok? Hold a wheel in the side and spin it, does the opposite side spin freely? Hold the opposite side and spin the wheel, do the wheels at the oyher end spin freely? Take the pinion gear cover off and try to turn the pinion gear with your finger till the bigger gear has gone all the way around, is it tight?
  9. I use a cable oiler for a bicycle brake cable. I take the prop off, clip it on the end and force grease in with a syringe till it ozzes out the other end. You could also drill a small 2mm hole near the top of the tube inside the boat and squirt grease in that way. You can cover the hole after so water doesn't leak in but if you do it properly, water won't. First way is best, second way is almost as good but easier.
  10. Looooong time r/c user, first time poster. Thought I'd show a pic of my son's Bugsta with an alternative bodyshell. I'd show the red version but limited upload. Is that because I only just signed up? Cost about £6.50 and very durable. The red version has been bashed about and down the road on its roof a huge number of times and has never had a crack.
