  1. Sorry, been very busy working on moving house. Yeah I could post the slash, pics attached
  2. The paint on that seems to be coming off pretty easily on is own, so you might be able to rescue it. For what its worth it was like that when I bought it 😂 Can do you a deal on the 5SC and some other cars you might be interested in to make the trip worth it, do need it gone and its way too big to post. I'm usually up in Scunthorpe on the weekends if thats any better of a location. Or meet halfway if youd be taking a lot off my hands.
  3. Sure, its stock but includes a new in packet inner fender set, not had too much use, I think all I've done either change the gearing or put a different turn motor in it. Missing one of the little screw on wheel hub caps. £120 collected or + postage since its not that big and this isnt fb marketplace/ebay, not likely to get scammed again lol
  4. Hiya I'm looking to sell up everything I dont use before I move house. So plenty to list. Prices negotiable, larger items are cash/bank transfer on collection only from Boston, Lincolnshire (though I can post smaller cars). If you want more pics of anything let me know 😊 These are also listed in other places like FB marketplace so may sell there. Arrma Nero Big Rock - £300 The discontinued 1:8 car not the 3s. In decent but worn condition, has hot racing hubs but missing one steering arm plate. Includes transmitter and a few parts, everything worked when last used but sold as spares or repairs Axial Exo-Terra - £275 Little use, in good shape. Fitted with a hobbywing max-10 combo and an old traxxas servo. No radio gear. Includes a bag of spares/kit leftovers and a silver painted poorly cut body panel set Hpi Blitz ESE - £350 Rare white plastic race spec Hpi Blitz ESE, sold as a roller but has a random old servo and cheap motor installed Some gouging to underside. Includes small bag of parts, 2 shells and a standard blitz rolling chassis. Both cars spares or repairs. Back up for sale but can't remove strike through text on mobile lol Hpi Super 5SC - £200 In fair condition. Body painted in the outside for a burger joint advert, could probably be removed without much fuss as it seems to be peeling in its own anyway All stock besides steering servo. Sold as spares or repairs. Hpi Savage 25LE + SS - £300 3 Speed Limited Edition, Prospec P6-28 engine, ran well when last used. Includes standard engine in unknown condition. Original SS kit, decent condition, clutch failed but ran when last used Comes with a few nitro related bits and spares. No transmitters, spares or repairs. Also yet to list, if you would like details: Hpi Venture - £120 Hpi Mini Trophy - £100 Hpi RS4 Sport 3 rally conversion w/trackstar combo - £130 Hpi Savage Flux HP - £275 Hpi Savage Flux 2350 w/ center diff - £225 Hpi Savage Flux XL 2016- £275 Hpi Savage XS - £175 Traxxas Slash Xl5 2wd w/trackstar combo - £125 Thanks, Aubrey (ps. changed my given name if anyone I've sold to before wonders why its different!)
  5. He did, stuck a Fireteam body on a Hammer Rey. Losi posted about it on their instagram account and asked at the end of the post if people would be interested in an actual SxS from them. Comments even mentioned doing the proper rear suspension and not just reusing the HR/BR live axle. Guess they listened 😄 Though it was less than 2 months ago, so they must have had this in the works already haha. Unless RC development is much faster and more agile than I thought. Even if it does reuse a lot of parts.
  6. Losi are knocking out banger after banger when it comes to scale off-road race vehicles. I love the attention paid to mechanical realism, the proper SxS ATV style rear suspension is a real treat 😄
  7. Just joined the club at long last 😄
  8. I'm just glad to get a body that isnt the old Fiesta, always thought that while nice, they could have gone for something a lot more iconic for such a capable rally chassis. And here we are 😊 Hope to see more
  9. Oh man, I love my SCX10III Gladiator to bits, but this, this is really nice 😍 Hope its not too expensive considering the lack of portals (which is a plus imo, but should be cheaper because less complex).
  10. Yay! I can finally replace the tattered shell on my XL with the proper OEM one for non-overinflated prices 😄
  11. Off to a great start mate 👍 keep us updated! 😄 Really hope 1:10 crawler sized RC prerunners become a trend.
  12. To recap: Red version of the older Mint 400 body Red cage and beadlocks Comes with a neat coin Much cheaper transmitter, the same one that comes with the Mini-T 2.0. The other Baja Rey models come with a DX2E. No AVC like previous Baja Reys Includes a decent hardcase lipo and a USB-C charger (is stuff like this going to be the new wall charger?) Also heard through the grapevine that it has a larger bearing in the center drivetrain somewhere. Costs $100 more I dunno, theres some good and some bad. I dont really see where the extra $100 of value is coming from other than exclusivity. 🤔 It does look super cool tho
  13. The threads in the gearbox housing dont look too healthy, perhaps the case is being forced open slightly under load and allowing the gear to skip? Try swapping the diffs front to rear and see if the problem stays at the back or moves to the front, that should rule out the diff itself for certain.
  14. Awesome! Plus the prices for the originals will go down again, time to nab one
  15. Wahey, I was right. It is a K5 Blazer the M1009 inspired one is super nice, hope that antenna can be unhooked so it waggles around
  16. Going by the shape and proportions of the body my bet is a 2nd gen/squarebody Chevrolet K5 Blazer, or at least a fictionalized one. The truck on the right seems light it has the front brush guard and antenna from the M1009 CUCV If thats the case, sign me up! Would be a nice deviation from the Jeep-spam we've had for years now, as cool as Jeeps are the market is getting a bit saturated with them
  17. Keep the savvies coming lads
  18. old school trail crawling blazing
  19. Lets get some more vintage pics lads Anyone 3speed fans? Recently finished resto Being irresponsible with a priceless old truck Another I recently saved, was rusted to hell but a bit of TLC has it nice again. Debating where to take it, body and paint is quite nice but a lot of the fasteners needed some careful extraction as they had just about turned to dust and melded with the plastic from the rust. Might strip it bare and repaint it black or possibly blue. With the decal layout from the TV advert perhaps. Or maybe i'll leave it. Vintage Modelsport decals too, those are staying I sadly neglected to take my own pictures of the extend of the rust and general condition, but I do have the listing pics from the seller I bought it from. The pics don't quite do it justice, I almost thought it was a goner when it arrived! Seller explained it was found in a storage lot with a leaky roof, which explained the state of the rear bumper.
  20. Sounds like your both your radio gear and your MSC have kicked the bucket. If its been sitting a long time its probably corrosion thats done it in, either by sitting with batteries in it or just moisture in the air. tbh, Its probably not really worth the headache trying to get those electronics going and even if they do start working, I would reccomend replacing the old radio and MSC with modern 2.4ghz radio set and an ESC. Longer runtimes, fully proprtional throttle as well as no more second servo, receiver batteries, 4ft antennas, crystals, interference, resistor, switch grease, runaways etc. A Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 speed controller (about £20 from Modelsport), a FlySky FS-GT3B transmitter and a FlySky FS-GR3E receiver (About £30 for both of those together on eBay) should be enough to get you going. With any luck one of the old servos and the motor will still work as those tend to be a lot more resilient. Remove the motor, get some oil on its bushings and touch its wires to your battery to see if it runs nice and smooth (or at all). Worst case a new model Mabuchi RS540 motor is about £8 on eBay, and any old cheap servo will be enough to crank the steering on a Hornet. If you're feeling brave I'd also suggest buying a Hornet ball bearing kit and replacing the plastic bushes in the transmission with them. You get a fair bit more runtime and a little more speed from the reduced friction Hope that helps! Hornets are timeless cars, old and new.
