  1. Can’t tell from your vid, but assume the adjuster below the stick is to centre it, but is that an adjuster to the left of it? Try pushing that forward a bit??
  2. Is there any adjustment available for steering response? (Either on the TX or the ESC if it’s programmable?) Had a similar thing recently myself when I thought a servo had packed in and it turned out I’d accidentally turned the steering response to minimum.🤦‍♂️
  3. Opened up the TX/RX I bought with the kit. The receiver is also a combined ESC , light and sound controller. The transmitter is 4 channel, small and compact but surprisingly good quality with an lcd display and all the usual adjustments. (This is an old one, just because it already had batteries in it). For £45, including a light control board and a selection of LEDs and more than enough rolls of super thin wire to wire up the truck. I think it’s pretty good value for money. 👍
  4. Not had much time for RC, so pondering what to do next rather than actually doing anything. This is where I’m thinking the “saddlebag” battery will sit.
  5. Just noticed the Coyote RTR and builders kit are on sale at Modelsport.
  6. I’d also recommend the Carisma Coyote. It’s a great little truck for the money. Check out https://smddirect.co.uk/password SMD direct for stuff like metal axles, inner fenders, bits of brass etc. Not as much after market stuff about as for more established (more expensive) trucks but plenty of opportunities to spend if you want to. Would suggest getting a better servo, some metal wheels (stock tyres are pretty good) and a HW1080 ESC.
  7. I’m a bit far away, in Lancashire, but welcome to the forum 👍
  8. Lol, @Stormbringer, once I get started I’ll be fine, but I know it’ll tax my brain cell and my soldering skills. Will be SO pleased if it all works 🤞. There are less lights on this but I’m adding a light bar and maybe underbody lights?
  9. I’ll be interested to see what the verdict is on this.
  10. Started having ideas about the body shell and may have got a little carried away. No room for a proper interior, but I worked out I can spare this much space for a cab and driver. I’d have to cut the poor little fella in half. The windows are tinted to hide the electronics inside, so I thought I might cut out the front side windows and make ( the tops of) little seats with headrests and paint the rest of the interior black. 🤣 I’m basically just putting off doing the electronics 🤣🤣
  11. Thanks for the encouragement Stormy.👍 Appreciate it.
  12. Hi there I’ve been struggling to find a 2S small enough to fit into my latest project, a 1/35 scale Jeep kit (Orlandoo Hunter OH35A01), (see thread in micro and mini). I’ve decided to make my own by linking 2 1S batteries together. I’ve studied how to do it at the University of YouTube and I’m planning to wire them up “saddlebag” style so the cells will sit, one either side of the motor. The cells in question are really small, 31mm x 20mm x 7mm, and 200mAh / 25C. I know that by linking them I’ll get (2x3.7V=) 7.4 Volts. Am I right in thinking the resulting battery will still be 200mAh? Or will that value change? And what would the C rating be for my new battery? It would probably have been quicker to Google this, but I’m sure one of you folks will know this.
  13. Some paint and some leads/plugs for my 1/35th scale Jeep build. See “1/35 scale Jeep kit (Orlandoo Hunter OH35A01)” in micro and mini section. Also, two tiny little 1S batteries which (using aforementioned leads/plugs) I intend to make into one “saddleback” 2S battery, with the cells kept separate and positioned one either side the motor to keep the C of G lower and further forwards.
  14. Well, a mate of mine lives in the states and owns a Jeep (uses it properly too) and aaaages ago I jokingly said I’d make an RC version. There’s an obvious problem straight away as his is the LWB 4 door version and this is a 2 door. So I shall use his as inspiration and go mainly white, but the roof, and wheel arches will be matte black ( because as far as I can tell, the white 2 door version came with black arches etc. Think I might de-chrome the wheels too, and have them matte black like his. I also have a tiny light bar for the roof!😂 His has purple under body lighting…. toying with copying that too 🤔 He calls her the Bugbear, so IF I can find someone who makes number plates small enough……
  15. This would probably be a good time to make a start on the electronics but I don’t have the required concentration levels at the moment, so I jumped to bag F, wheels and tyres. I believe you can get actual beadlocks for these (!?!) but for now I’m sticking to the stock ones. As you can see, they come supplied with foams BUT……. I won’t be using them. I’ve got a pair of wheel weights for the front, and will run the rear without foams. After a bit of experimenting with the D110, this set up seemed to work the best. The weights make the front tyres a bit hard but really move the centre of gravity forward, and the rears are a bit too stiff with foams in but really dig in without them. It’s a bit silly with no electrics, only 3 shocks and an unpainted shell, but I guess it’s a roller….sort of.
  16. Bit stuck while I wait for that replacement shock shaft so popped the body shell on just to see what it’ll look like. Turns out it looks like a tiny Jeep 🤷‍♂️
  17. Love Bosch. Great customer service if they ever go wrong… which is almost never👍
  18. I’ll have a quick measure later but all measurements will be approximate.
  19. Forgot I'd put these on here and still haven't go round to ebaying em. Make me an offer?
  20. I've checked it out. See below my wiring diagram (scribble on a scrap of paper 😄) You solder the positive of one pack to the negative of the other and put the battery plug on the remaining positive and negative, then solder a balance lead to positive , negative, and the connected middle wires. Simple??
  21. Wow, thanks Stormy, that's a lot of trouble to go to. Appreciate the effort. Sadly, although they are close (the third one is only .5mm over!),unfortunately none will fit.
  22. Thanks anyway mate. To be honest I'm quite getting into the idea of a "saddle bag" 2s. Keep the weight low and evenly spread. Put lighter items like the sound generator and lighting controls in the space where the battery goes. Now I've looked into it, the wiring doesn't even look that difficult.
