Got my first ever Traxxas RC today. A used "E-Revp 2.0". 😁
Never had a Traxxas before so thought I'd give it a go, ...was looking at getting the "Maxx" but then searching eBay this E-Revo jumped at me as the price was great, has some upgrades already and from what I've seen in my research before I bought should handle more to my taste. Not a fan of top heavy RC's that roll over too easy so the lower centre of gravity on this should be better than the Maxx.-
I like them both and both have their pro’s and cons. The Maxx is much much more durable, the revo handles/performs brilliantly, but is quite weak. Personally Id take the Maxx, as I believe theres better ‘Truggys’ from other competitors…_
Potentially look at a new ESC, the Traxxas one isnt as bad as the internet has you believe but theres a performance increase switching out to a HW/Castle.
Get a decent single servo, if it hasn’t already
-
Haven't had the chance to drive it yet as I'm giving it a deep clean/service first.
I see no need to change the ESC if it does what it should but the dual servo set up is on my list of things to change.
It has the Traxxas rear brace, steel centre CVD driveshafts as well as 7075 toe links so has some decent mods already. I also have the HR limiting straps to fit.
If it doesn't drive how I want or I don't get on with it then I'll move it on but wanted to give this a try.

Just thought I'd share my result from ROSSA Speed Championships UK Round 1 ~ My Typhon shattered it's spur gear on the first pass so instead of wasting a lot of time on that I purely concentrated on my Limitless. Glad I did as I just got faster and faster all weekend.
New PB of 150mph odd.

Just read that Ray Liotta has died. 😢
Bl**dy good actor and by all accounts a good guy (or should that be Goodfella) too. RIP. -

Went to a local Facebook RC club/group meet today. What a poop show.
Maybe 25+ people there and although friendly enough people there it was really dangerous.
Was held on a small industrial estate type area. I was there for maybe 15 minutes before I saw some poor guy (maybe in his late 40's early 50's) get wiped out by a huge 10kg+ monster truck. Literally took his legs out and smashed him to the ground.
Driver was apologetic obviously but there was no safety or basic rules arranged by any of the so called club leaders.
I've spoken to the guy who got hit and he's actually in a lot of pain now, ...hurt his back & ribs as well as a few cuts/bruises.
I stayed for only a short while after that accident then left. Didn't even bother taking my RC truck out of the car in the end so slowly discharging my batteries now back to storage charge. Waste of a day.- Show previous comments 11 more

Basic rules shouldn't be needed, to most of us it's obvious; "everyone drive in the same direction, and well away from the pit area". Sadly too many people can't figure that for themselves.
And yes, I've crashed into my own legs several times. And a Baja flattened one of my boys when he was about ten, nowt to do with me.
-
Sadly rules are needed as some people leave their common sense at home, going to an event and returning injured due to no fault of your own isnt good form.
This is why BRCA exists also... Sad to hear the event wast good G, compared to Rossa I can imagine many events wouldnt stack up, its so proffesionally run. -
Cheers @Redback . I thought I'd go to see what it was like but definitely not for me.
I just felt bad for the guy that got hit and I don't even know him. A few of us went to check on him as well as the driver who hit him but it just felt like nobody else was that bothered and carried on.
Maybe I'm just used to the great group spirit that the ROSSA UK team of us all has. ❤️

Just released new Scorched RC parts for the Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 available now.
They're doing a lovely titanium front skid plate and some gorgeous carbon fibre rear chassis braces.
Maybe @53HRA could add the products to the "RC News" as these are "must do" mods for the SBR 2.0.

That sucks about the man flu @53HRA. Better getting it now than over Christmas though.
Hope you get well soon enough.

I've been lucky lately with competitions so entered a draw on "The 99p Competitions" website to try my luck.
A guy who goes to ROSSA is involved with it so I know they are legit & one of the guys has already won a prize.
Just thought I'd mention it here as they only do RC related prizes so right up our street.

Quick thanks to @mydoddy69 .
Sorted my batteries for my Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0.
I didn't go for the CNHL you recommended directly to me but I did go with some Turnigy Rapid that you had recommended to another member in your old SBR thread. The fit is absolutely spot on and I love Turnigy so cannot wait to see what they're like. Thanks.
These batteries for anyone else interested: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-rapid-5500mah-4s2p-140c-hardcase-lipo-battery-pack-w-xt60-connector-roar-approved.html?wrh_pdp=3&___store=en_us -
Any owners of the Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 that can share what batteries they're using please?
Looking to run on 8S so need to buy two suitable 4S batteries.-
@mydoddy69 what did you use please if you remember. Thanks.
