  1. Great charger but surplus to requirements. Includes a Traxxas 3S battery but can't say how many charges the battery has had as used (pre-owned) so kind of throwing that in with the charger FOC. Have put it on an eBay auction here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325333217577 Starting bid of £44.99 plus postage. Sold for £52 odd on eBay
  2. I do speed runs predominantly with my RC's and lights most definitely help with longer range visibility. These strobes work very well, are small, rechargeable and can be fitted simply: https://store.flytron.com/products/strobon-cree-standalone?fbclid=IwAR3HiQPjZ1ASaF3XFW1Yd3YjDd5nH_BEIKkTo1zzxKqtN-IvijK4TX_4bMk Recently though I've just bought some LED light bars to fit to my speed runs cars as another speed runner was using them and reckons they're better for visibility. These ones: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004134595230.html?srcSns=sns_Copy&spreadType=socialShare&bizType=ProductDetail&social_params=60182551915&aff_fcid=3ba083d2137a4aa19d24548f67a86c6c-1662326422506-03921-_vNC3hX&tt=MG&fbclid=IwAR3SQ97vg13ri2IiKwJvwYNF2J82BQO92jM2Lb4BpR84Tgmd27qKlXH0Nd0&aff_fsk=_vNC3hX&aff_platform=default&sk=_vNC3hX&aff_trace_key=3ba083d2137a4aa19d24548f67a86c6c-1662326422506-03921-_vNC3hX&shareId=60182551915&businessType=ProductDetail&platform=AE&terminal_id=0419ae7a61ec48f1a72c0333da72e554&afSmartRedirect=y Not tried them yet as waiting on the delivery but for the price I thought they're worth a go.
  3. SOLD - Just put these on eBay for sale. They're in good condition and are usually around £40 a pair. Fell free to bid on the auction starting at £19.99 plus postage or if any MSUK members are interested and want to buy it now just let me know & can do for say £40 posted ONO for all 3 tyres (saving £5 over the eBay buy it now price).
  4. Is it 1/8th scale then? Looks pretty good and like the layout.
  5. Got my first ever Traxxas RC today. A used "E-Revp 2.0". 😁
Never had a Traxxas before so thought I'd give it a go, ...was looking at getting the "Maxx" but then searching eBay this E-Revo jumped at me as the price was great, has some upgrades already and from what I've seen in my research before I bought should handle more to my taste. Not a fan of top heavy RC's that roll over too easy so the lower centre of gravity on this should be better than the Maxx.

      You've turned to the darkside..!!😉🤣🤣

    2. Kpowell911

      Kpowell911

I like them both and both have their pro’s and cons. The Maxx is much much more durable, the revo handles/performs brilliantly, but is quite weak. Personally Id take the Maxx, as I believe theres better ‘Truggys’ from other competitors…_

Potentially look at a new ESC, the Traxxas one isnt as bad as the internet has you believe but theres a performance increase switching out to a HW/Castle.

Get a decent single servo, if it hasn’t already

      GMballistic

Haven't had the chance to drive it yet as I'm giving it a deep clean/service first.
I see no need to change the ESC if it does what it should but the dual servo set up is on my list of things to change.

It has the Traxxas rear brace, steel centre CVD driveshafts as well as 7075 toe links so has some decent mods already. I also have the HR limiting straps to fit.

If it doesn't drive how I want or I don't get on with it then I'll move it on but wanted to give this a try. :good:

  6. Yep definitely take your time choosing and do some research first. Like I said I had the 1/6th version so haven't had the 1/10th but they're very similar in configuration overall just different scales. That will make a difference though with performance, handling etc etc. Lot's of cool things you can do with stadium type trucks though once you do get one, ...what I mean is like adding extras like lights or other details to the truck if that's your thing and seem to go well on a large variety of surfaces sometimes without even bothering to change tyres. This was mine.
  7. Great read @ReggieC and glad you got back to RC again even if it was down to an injury that brought you back. That track looks like awesome fun.
  8. I used to have a Losi Super Baja Rey which was an awesome truck albeit a little out of your budget. What about it's 1/10th scale baby brother the Losi Baja Rey? Link: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/losi-1-10-black-rhino-ford-raptor-baja-rey-4wd-brushless-rtr-with-smart-1336498 For me it's the live rear axle on these type of trucks that adds to the realism. If you look at the second hand market you maybe able to get one for 2/3rds of your budget giving some spare change for batteries.
  9. My event was very problematic and I spent most of my time stripping & rebuilding/problem solving with the Typhon. I did get a new PB of 129mph odd with the Typhon and was hoping for more but was plagued with problems. The Limitless I never even ran as went to turn it on and my XLX was dead. It was an expensive event for me: x1 dead XLX, x1 set of GRP's, x1 motor mount, x2 dead 6S batteries, x1 Typhon shell and some other minor bits. My video:
  10. Definitely agree it was good of him. Both Kevin and Raz turned up at the event with huge pressures on them, after all they both wanted to break the World Record and not only that, they had stated to literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people through YouTube that was the goal. Add to that it was their first ever ROSSA event with a huge group of people they didn't know I think they did amazing under such pressure. I have watched Kevin's videos on and off for years purely because I like RC & he covers so many of them but I've never really been a fan of his presenting style. However that's just for the camera and after meeting him in person (Raz too), talking to him at length over the 3 day event I have to admit he's a really nice guy imho & very humble too. It was really nice spending time chatting with both of them and meeting the real people they are.
  11. Was lucky enough to meet both these guys at the ROSSA UK Speed Championships Event that I attend twice each year. This year they came to the August event for the first time ever to run at ROSSA which was fantastic as Raz had a huge journey to make to get to us especially with all his kit/cars. Kevin's video here: Raz's video: ROSSA site here: https://rossa.org.uk/ ROSSA Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1641915416068313 Fantastic event ~ if you're interested maybe come to an event next year.
  12. Very cool @TWINSET. I've done hydro dipping myself so know first hand it's actually not as easy as some YouTube videos will have you believe especially depending on the shape involved. This is a company I use for my bits if you ever go looking for some different film designs to try: https://www.aquagraphix.co.uk/
  13. It was a great event. Kev and Raz were both great guys to meet in person ~ Raz was obviously a superb driver but it has to be said Kev did fantastic too. I won't say too much about it as I'm sure they'll both share their videos of the event once they're ready. My video here:
  14. Sunset on Shell Island, Llanbedr whilst I was up there for the ROSSA event.
  15. Welcome aboard. So much competition for RC videos on YouTube so just try to enjoy what you're doing rather than focus too much on subscriber numbers is my advice. If you're trying to grow your channel then it might be worth joining some groups on FB like Tamiya Legends where you can share your videos regularly. You can of course share them here as we all love RC. 😁
  16. Beloved family pet dog called Sam who is sadly no longer with us. Been gone a long time now but never forgotten. 😍
  17. Yes that's right. I think it's going to be good for ROSSA to have two such well known YouTuber's go and hopefully they both do well. It will also be good for Kevin Talbot to be running somewhere where he can at least get the most from his build. We all know Raz is fast AF but Kevs project really hasn't shown that much potential yet or at least its full potential. Going to be one heck of an event. Can't wait.
  18. This one is going to be starting off in the 1 cell class so I'm hoping for over 100mph but we'll have to see how it goes. I'm used to higher speeds than that usually but then that's with my 1/8th (6S) scale Typhon buggy and 1/7th (8S) scale Limitless which are imho easier to make go fast.
  19. I've been modifying a 1/10th scale SWorkz S14-3 buggy that I bought from @mak01 as I am turning it into another speed run RC. Hoping to use it for some of the various battery cell count classes that my other speed run RC's don't fit into. Before First things I did was to clean and strip the whole buggy down. I've rebuilt the diffs with 100K oil and made a centre spool from the slipper clutch to suit a Mod 1 gear pinion gear. I've also rebuilt all the suspension with added limiters inside the shock bodies as well as outside to get the ride height nice n' low. Thicker oil in those too as well as a new set of harder springs on the back. Pretty pleased with how the builds progressing so far ~ made a carbon fibre rear wing for it too as all my cars run carbon wings that I've made myself. As it sits now.
  20. LINK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325286016091 Happy to negotiate a price with any MSUK member if they're interested. It has been used in my old Infraction and is a beast of a motor. RRP £260 TP Power 4080CM brushless motor custom 2900KV speed run 6S drag run. For sale is my almost brand new TP Power 4080 CM custom 2900KV brushless motor. Ideally for 6S use, is vented and has an 8mm motor shaft with a flat (for grub screws).Motor measures 117mm from front cap to end cap and has a 25mm long pinion/motor shaft. Pre-fitted with 8mm bullets so no soldering needed. This is a custom made motor because I had to request TP Power to make it in this KV which wasn't cheap. It is perfectly suited for speed runs and drag runs with incredible power. Bought brand new from Onyx Rc Power Systems earlier this year for a drag build I started but didn't continue with. Picture of the motor as it was fitted in my Infraction drag run build.
  21. It isn't and it also isn't worth it. Watched Kevin Talbot with one and honestly it was disappointing. No way I'd pay more than £100 for it from what I saw.
  22. Welcome aboard @TuxStang. Love France used to holiday there every year with my parents as a child, ...your English is very good BTW. Hope you enjoy being on the forum.
