  1. Nice looking wheels👍 I swear by those rocko tyres.
  2. One of the tawny owls hunting again in the garden. Pretty sure it got a rat this time. Makes a right thud went it hits it.
  3. Thanks mate 👍 it really is a capable little crawler.
  4. @.AJ. SSD parts are quality 👍 Can you buy the shock towers that come with the kit? I could do with some for my sendero.
  5. That's what I do with rod ends that are tight. Get some shock shaft grips. I used to use pliers with insulation tape on for years. The right tool for the job is way better.
  6. Here's a short video of the my tarantula crawler on the crawler course. This particular section is very steep. Not many of my crawlers can do these few lines. For example non of my trx4s will do these lines with a body on,and even then they won't make most of them. It's really steep for lcg rigs. This shows how capable the little Trx4m's are...
  7. I've got a radiolink rc8x. I really like it. You can run it on upto a 3s battery. Stores a ridiculous amount of model memory, 200. The receivers are fairly cheap. You can get them from aliexpress for about 9 quid for a mini 4 channel no gyro ( great for mini crawlers) an a couple of quid more for the gyro version. Has various 4ws modes very easy to setup. And some of the the receivers are good for upto nearly two kilometres.,handy if you do speed runs. You can can get an fpv add on.
  8. Agree with @Lone-wolf. I've blocked the holes on wheels if I'm using them for trail driving. As much as I I say I won't I always end up driving through mud an water. My lcg rigs vented isn't a problem because I only use them on the rocks and don't like getting them wet or muddy.
  9. More crawling. Put some steel beadlocks on the sendero. Definitely improved performance.
  10. If you don't think it's any good I'll buy it off you. I'd get the 180 48t motor from Injora. I put that in my high trail, huge improvement of torque and speed.
  11. I don't know of any to be honest. The hobbywing offering is not great and I do like hobbywing, got loads of the stuff. Furitek do an esc, fully programmable, brushed or brushless. I haven't tried one, And they aren't cheap, about 50 quid plus the ridiculous shipping from the states nowadays. You can order direct from them but same shipping price. The injora esc is super smooth, cheap, compact, looks good and will take the crappy traxxas battery connectors. I've tried various of the brushed esc's off aliexpress and Ebay etc. None are great to be honest.
  12. Some more from today... And a crash... @Lone-wolf had a few tumbles down the very unforgiving lumps of stone. Durable little trucks👍
  13. Did some more crawling today. The tarantula was out today. Minus the 70mm tyres, I had to put those on the IR40.
  14. Probably about the same run time for me. One of mine has the traxxas esc with traxxas battery. I've not seen an adapter for sale anywhere. The injora esc comes with various connectors so you can use a Traxxas battery, any 2cell with a balance connector (which is really handy) or you can solder on which ever you prefer. Overlander do a 450 and 850 mah battery that fits directly in the Trx4m battery tray but doesn't have the stupid traxxas connector. I would highly recommend the injora esc for the reason mentioned and it's super smooth. I know you might not want to replace the esc but that option frees you up to use most batteries.
  15. Gave the sendero a go on my crawler course. Very good, especially for a stock rtr. The tyres sound a bit plastic like on the rocks. Quite a bit of a body rub on the front. Quite a steep tricky section. I did manage to get it up after I turned the camera off🤦. Body rub. That can be sorted. Put some flat clear on the truck bed and matt black underneath.
  16. Got the chrome off the bumpers, grill, diff cover on my blazer.
  17. I've ordered k10 length links to extend the wheelbase on my IR40. The only potential issue I can see with this is the front wheels may touch the front bumper. I don't think it will be much if any. A 370 size motor and gearbox to suit with 32% underdrive. I've been really happy with the injora motors and gearboxes for the Trx4m. The injora 180 48t has good bit more torque and speed over the stock motor.
  18. I've crashed my tarantula Trx4m quite hard on my crawler course a good few times and nothing has broken and it's all stone pretty much, unforgiving landings (probably going to break next crash now I've posted this). They are a tough little truck. I've been pleasantly surprised how long the plastic gears lasted. I left the rear in my bronco just out of curiosity. I way prefer working on Trx4m's than fcx24 and scx24. Most of the bolts are 1.5mm driver, not tiny screws. Just my opinion, but definitely my favourite mini crawler.
  19. @Lone-wolf You can get the white body and paint it your colour of choice.
  20. Tyres look mint👍 I really like the steel wheels. It's very similar to the steel wheels I used on off roaders.
  21. Quite funny, don't forget to put your seat belt on....
