That's what I'd do to solve that problem.
You can put the super glue in the fridge or freezer to give you a bit more time to screw it all the way in before it goes off.
Got two motors from aliexpress.
Fake castle looking things, no idea if they're any good.
Had trouble finding motors at 35mm length with a 2.3mm shaft.
The 3650kv is rated for 4s and the 4600kv 3s.
No intention of running 4s but it's nice to know it will take it.
Both motors 27 quid delivered.
Hopefully dpd deliver my typhon grom without any issues.
This is a good chassis kit about 55 quid...

This is one is also good and about 30 quid...

This is the I bought recently, comes in red, blue or black carbon. A bit more expensive than the others but a really nice looking complete chassis kit (excluding gearbox & links)...

The 2low copy gearbox doesn't leave much room for a brushed motor on most lcg chassis kit I have got from aliexpress. The od3 copies allow more room for a brushed motor. You could get the delrin skid and run an axial style three gear transmission.
I would highly recommend a brushless outrunner.
@ReggieC
I don't know the length of links or size of skid on the r1.
Generally the lcg gearboxes use a narrower skid so the links will need to be longer. You can usually sort this with longer rod ends. You can get links at various lengths from injora. Or look on aliexpress / ebay / amazon at stainless crawler links. You can pick sets up from a tenner, all the lengths will be shown.
I'd say a well setup lcg chassis would work way better than a r1 chassis.
I'm well impressed with how capable some of my rigs are.
@ReggieC that last few chassis kits I've bought from aliexpress have been very good with loads of options for gearbox, ams or cms.
I can share a few links if you want?
I'd get a chassis kit with a lcg gearbox with overdrive.
Got a couple of roof racks from aliexpress...
About 9 quid each. Both delivered for just under 20 quid.
Comes with all necessary fittings.
Look pretty cool.
There's a little waterfall near my house, great for rinsing of all the mud and grit.
I then dry them in the house, usually get the burner going.
I use acf50 or brunox turbo spray on metal parts such as driveshafts. They both have anti corrosive properties. Great for anodised parts and won't damage seals.
@Stormbringer
Nothing fancy mate. I'm not sure if I'll like them so I got a cheap one of amazon.
It's small for the canals and rivers nearby.
I've got a few shimano reels, spinning reels and baitrunners.
I picked up a couple of cheap spinning reels from amazon and I was surprised, they were lovely and smooth.
