Venom nimh's are normally pretty good from my experience but a lot of them dont use the tamiya plug (a TRX one) but there are a few that do. Turnigy also does some good ones too,theres one Here that is high capacity and should fit in the raider. Normally its a good idea to stay away from cheaper makes but some are decent. For a charger,i can recommend the Schumacher UAC-50 which is a relatively cheap charger and should be good to start off with and does all sorts of batteries if you decide to go onto LiPo batteries. But i am not sure about the jackal as the batteries look smaller. The UAC-50 comes with a spare lead so you can solder any connector onto it that you want. I havent seen any 1:10 scale ones for under £375(£580 brand new!),the only ones on there that are under that are smaller 1:16 scale ones that go for about £240. It has a fair bit of interest at the moment so I won't be moving on price,sorry.

I have been looking to sell my rarely used traxxas summit 1:10. The truck is still in good working order and has never been in water or sand so no issues there but it does have a few marks and scratches as you would expect from some bashing It is currently on Ebay for £400(i hope thats a good price). So far i have been offered an IPhone 6 for a swap . Its a great fun and fast for such a vehicle but i never get enough use out of it to justify keeping it so i decided to rehome it where it will be bashed. I could not get the images linked so i uploaded them to this siteHere
