  1. yes that makes perfect sense. Thanks. I will have another look tomorrow before work.
  2. Yes it has a servo saver, what should i be checking for? just that its moving freely and clear of muck?
  3. Its a Thunder tiger tomahawk VX. It happens when in the air and on the ground. I have rolled it a few times but have checked the car over and as far as i can see there is absolutely nothing visibly wrong with the car. Its the standard servo. I have already removed the horn and rest everything twice so i am guessing its a faulty servo. I have a spare couple so i will have to swap it over and see if there is any difference. It does drive straight but constantly needs a small amount of steering input to keep it straight.
  4. Does any one have a clue as to why my steering doesn't return to zero? What i mean by this is regardless of trim settings or where i set the steering arm on the servo, if i turn left and release the wheel the wheels return OK but don't sit dead straight, they are maybe 10 - 20% out still turning to the left. If i dial that out with the trim on the tx then i get the same issue when i turn right. do i have to settle for a bit out on both side? or is it a set-up thing with suspension? Many thanks Dan.
  5. awesome, Thanks for the advise! its been nearly two months since i ran it as i have been waiting on new spur gear to arrive so i cant wait!
  6. I have some tyres which are very, very similar to those, ill post a pick if i can get my phone working properly. I will try and stay nearer to the dryer edge where its still compacted but less wet, there are a few beach near by i can use that are pretty quiet.
  7. Has any one tried bashing a TC on sand? I don't mean the soft sandy sand.... I mean the hard compacted stuff you get after the sea goes back out? I am going to my parents for a couple of days and my dad and brother want to see the car in action. unfortunatly there is no where during the day clear enough to run it, and no where in the evening that is lit well enough. So this was the only option i could think of, i have some mud/gravel type tyres, and will have access to an air compressor afterwards to clean the car up, but just wondered if any one has done this and if it was a success or not? Many thanks, Dan.
  8. Thanks for all the info, its the blue onodized chassis, but the shocks are not the originals. I will post pics in a day or two but the video will be a little while away yet as i still need a driveshaft, wheel nuts and washers and the rod that connects the throttle and servo. it will be good to get it running as i currently have 3 cars now, two nitro touring and an electric short course truck. None of which work as im waiting for parts to arrive or pay day to order parts for them. The kyosho used to be a mates, he said it was pretty rapid when he ran it but the bearing upgrade will be a must in the future. Thanks.
  9. OK, so, first of all, my apologies for begging for help and then dissapearing, work picked up quick and as i work away from home it can be a bit difficult to access a computer. Secondly the car is actualy a 3 and not a 4 as i first thought, sorry again for the confusion. And Thirdly, after having a fresh look at the car and all the parts, i DO actualy have all the nessesary parts for a working clutch! Thanks to everyone for all there help, i promise to look a bit more carefully in future. Thanks again, Danzul90
  10. IT might be my poor memory then . more likely a 3 in that case, sorry, its definatly the gx15 engine though. sorry i have not posted the picture up yet, i have ended up working late the last few nights so will sort it out over the weekend. As well as clarify the model. Thanks. Danzul90
  11. I will take a picture tonight as that will explain better than i can. Lol Thanks, Danzul90
  12. Thanks for that, looking at the first link i think i might have all the parts. (I will check in the morning) However i am still not sure on how to fit it. There are about 3 options as to where the clutch sits against the engine. If that makes sense?
  13. Hey folks. I wonder if some one can help me, i appreciate this is a pretty old car now but i have been given a box full of bits for one including the manual. I have built it all up and got the engine running, but i think i may have a part of the clutch missing. does any one know how many parts there are to the clutch and/ or how it fits together correctly? The manual suggests that the engine is supplied with the clutch already fitted so isn't much help. and a quick Google search didn't help either. Many thanks, Danzul90
  14. Cheers mate its working fine now. And im pretty confident at soldering so the connectors should be no issue. Thanks again.
