Of course, the day i collect my Mini 3 Pro, it's raining to the point of flooding. Sigh.

No problem - no, i didn't. I don't think it's a bad idea, but i paid for it on three drones, and never used it. Altogether just with that money i could get a new drone entirely lol.
If the drone crashes through a manufacturing error, the normal warranty covers it - other than that, i've never had as much as a damaged prop on my drones.
Maybe i'm overly careful (no flying in bad weather/high gusts/wind etc), but so far has served me well. If you fly LoS (as we all should, legal and stuff), you won't get surprised by a tree jumping in front of the drone - and, i don't think i've ever used sport mode on my drones, usually "normal" is fast enough, and for the majority i creep around in Cine/Tripod mode.

Here's a big tip. I missed it on the first few testflights, ruined the footage for the most part. The FLY app doesn't have the old "hotkey" anymore for AEL (auto exposure lock). If you shoot in Auto (like i usually do, drone does a good enough job with white balance etc), you need to lock the exposure, otherwise you get incredibly visible steps in the video where it just changes brightness, rashly. I thought i did lock it (on older app versions, you tap something on the screen, and then tap in the square that pops up again and hold to lock exposure), but after reading up on it, well.. yeah nah.
What you need to do, i assume the process for the RC Pro lite (whatever they call the screen remote) is the same, is to set your FN button (the programmable button) to AE lock. You'll have at least one programmable button that you can set to "tap" and "double tap", i got AE Lock on double tap now and it does indeed lock exposure. Here you can see what happens if you don't lock it.
Makes colour grading impossible (i just twisted some knobs, didn't actually grade it properly because you can't when the exposure jumps around all the time). Ignore also the jerky movements, i flew in normal and only just now played with the gimbal/yaw settings to increase smoothness (both "smoothness" in settings and expo on the yaw stick).
Just a heads up. You need to do this or your footage is gonna look awful.
