  1. Yup, I'll be there as usuall, going Friday afternoon till Monday afternoon,.. Flying is my primary rc hobby so always make time for the Nats..
  2. Painted the inside of the canopy on my Global RC, Sukhoi SU26. Not a car, but one of my fixed wing aircraft,....
  3. As long as you know what you're looking for & the seller has excellent feedback, then ebay is a great place. There is always plenty of good after sales advice on here should you need any.
  4. Sent you a PM Lee regarding the swap,..
  5. In the past I've used a 12v fan from an old computer. It will discharge a li-po safely & you can direct the airflow over the battery to keep it cool at the same time.
  6. For what they cost & the amount of room they take up, it's well worth having one. Also, better to get a warning that the Li-po is getting low. That way you get chance to bring the model back towards you rather than it just stop & have a long walk to collect it.
  7. Fitted new body shell, just need to find my hole saws to pop a hole in the rear deck for access to the engine & pull start...
  8. I hope she's bringing me my new truck body shell,....photos later if she does,..
  9. Sounds like you have a Four stroke plug. It will work, but better off with a 2 stroke type, something like an OS 7, OS 8 or R5. Is the plug brand new? I will swap you for an OS 7 if you like, I use 4stroke plugs in my aero engines.. PM me your address if you're interested.
  10. Found this in another, similar thread,.... http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=DYN6617
  11. Yes, I always leave them in the model on an extension lead & just connect when a battery is inserted. Would be nice if Lipo manufacturers could build some type of low cell alarm into the battery,.... BOGGER.......have I now just ruined my chance of making a small fortune......
  12. A Multiplex Easystar II would be a better option. Around the same price, but you have far more options regarding different sized motors & much better quality.
  13. Sorry mate, but neither of them are any good,...... What you need is NITRO POWER........
  14. Almost completed my 1/8th Subaru WRC99 refurb.... From this,...... To this,..... Small amount detail to paint in & fit black mesh into the windows,...
  15. yesterday she brought me an 1/8th rear spoiler & a pair of 105mm off road wheels,...hopefully today the other pair of wheels should turn up.... Busy pimping up my on road scooby to an off road buggy...
  16. Through all my years of building balsa aircraft, I find the best glue ever is Aliphatic Resin. It has a consistency of pva glue, takes about the same time to cure, so some work will need to be pinned or taped in position. Once dry it's super strong & waterproof. Starts off at around
  17. It's gong to be a dragster style rather than a full blown straight line dragster. All will become clear when I start a build thread. Thanks for your input guys, very much appreaciated ..
  18. Thanks for confirming that Bez. The way a diff works always puzzles me in that it can allow two wheels to turn opposite directions or allow one to turn faster than the other when going in the same direction. I wasn't sure if two diffs could work together at different speeds.
  19. As the title suggests, I'm starting a scratch build, Dragster style buggy. The car I'm using as a parts donor is currently 4wd, but the plan is to have 105mm wheels on the back & 85mm wheels on the front. Could I still use a 4wd setup with odd size wheels or would this cause issues, in that the rear wheel will want to travel further in one revolution than the smaller one at the front,...
  20. I agree, & if this guy was flying totally off the cuff then yes, he truly is a great pilot. I was merely stating that this standard of flying can also be achieved by less experienced pilots, by other means. Some of our club mates use the Orange stabiliser units within their models because they think it improves their flying, but all they're doing is cheating them selves by ironing out their bad habbits & poor skills. I was taught to fly in 20mph winds & never bothers me. Others will only fly in wind because they have the stabiliser to "keep them safe"...
  21. I'm afraid a lot of it is pre programmed jiggery pokery. A guy from work programmed his from a laptop to fly around the site to take an ariel video of the whole works. He never had to touch the Tx once while it was doing it's route. The Military & Police use either the same or very similar software to control their rc drones. This technology was even used to film certain events with similar quads at the British Olympics.
  22. Ill see if I can get some to video next time I'm out to prove to you guys, but honestly, with the right kit, anyone can fly like this..
  23. Theres lots,... Just look on youtube about how to upgrade & modify to fly like this,.... I did....
