  1. Hear what yah saying Chasman but I sort of want a truggy n MT to go with my Buggy but to buy both new is more than I want to spend..... The alternative is to just buy a new savage X/XL? Currently cleaning up some old RCs for a mate who owns a shop (as off my feet and sort of house bound) and just done an Hobao ST with StS engine which seems quite well looked after so was thinking get that n a 2nd hand savage. Really not sure at the mo! Bit worried about the savage and the amount of spur/diff issues forumed on here! Procrastination is an art form I am we'll versed in (must be my Yorkshire tight assed roots). Cleaning a Tmaxx n the thing idles like a bar steward n runs real hot even with fuel blowing outta the exhaust......! So was it the Tmaxx engine that was suspect not that it was 2nd hand.... Just askin?
  2. I am also interested in which way to go.... Will be buying 2nd hand so price is not the issue.
  3. +1 as per piston head. Make sure not to touch MSN. Alter idle as engine frees up and keep on the rich side. Watch temps as can get high esp with no 4 plug n 20% nitro.
  4. Very jealous...... I n the daughter have been lusting after the very same beast....... We were exstatic for 10 secs when I checked the bank account,,,,,, paid and tax rebate woooooohoooooo savage an an ST truggy......... Then the wife hands me the credit card bill....... B......er! Enjoy looks the mutts...!
  5. As many as you require... I run the largest only on each corner and it works well for the type of stuff I do.
  6. Should have got spacers for the shocks of diff sizes to add preload in the box....these go at the top of shock between spring collar and shock top...... This has sorted mine out.
  7. Heard on the grape vine that nitros aren't selling so maybe some reductions in the new year!
  8. Mine whine if I set them up with a little trim so when/if loose tx to car the brakes come on with fail safe.
  9. Which engine as the hyper comes with a.21 and a.28. HSN next to fuel line LSN on carb slider end. MSN do not touch opposite end to carb slider. When I get home can scan and post .21 details or do search on here as plenty info about.
  10. Ooh is this what I can spend my tax rebate on.......!
  11. I got the Hyper 7TQ2 .21 and have to say as a first it has been good, few issues operator error LOL, starting easy, even better if heated to start, tuning easy ( Don't touch the MSN), very robust and goes like stink! Even survived submarining it and stalling it!! Don't suggest you try though. Easy to work on and parts are very cheap if you need them......? I am an old chap with slow reactions (hence puddle issue) and never owned RC b4. Enjoying so much trying to decide whether to get an ST truggy or a Savage as winter basher.

    Dual Rate

Great thread..... As my driving style is full lock to full lock I have never seen a need for dual rate LOL. I will now try and educate myself. Cheers guys some good explanations.
