No, it won't be a QR cam, as you said it is solid axle.  Occasionally an axle can snap and shrapnelise inside the hub and bits get stuck in there, but it is very rare.  The hole in the hub is only marginally bigger diameter than the OD of the axle - they don't make contact along the length of the axle, rather the axle is 'suspended' inside the hub by way of the axle cones 'sitting' in the cups of the wheel hubs.  Thats why its important to have decent quality, and well adjusted / lubed bearings.  So, I'm really struggling to think what might be 'stuck' inside the hub?  Have you tried using the old axle as a drift to gently tap out any foreign object stuck in there?

One other consideration before you expend too much time & money (not that much really as quite cheap!) on rebuilding the hub/axles, is the general condition of the wheel itself - rim, spokes, hub etc?  If any of it is damaged, worn, you may just find it easier to buy a complete rear wheel, can get them quite cheaply from the likes of Tredz, CRC, Merlin etc.

      many thanks for that

i will get more info on the thing that is stuck inside and will report back.

buying a wheel does seem like the better way.

if you forward it to 5:40 mins, it shows the set up, it seems the long metal tube at the bottom axle to the left, that is stuck inside the wheel.

      took more picture:

if you look at the bit where i have circled in black, that looks like the metal tube on the video, it seems it has gone in before a cone or a bolt so when the wheel got tightened, the tube got stuck in there.

ok i just realized something that is so simple, the transmitter wasnt fully charged, it kept beeping but now its fully charged so i think that might have been the cause of it, feel bit silly now.

  14. welcome mate 🙂 just a few questions to help us out abit. budget? scales? 4wd or 2wd? monster truck, buggy or? this way we can advise on a rc for you.
  15. @adamfshaw this seems to tick all the boxes for you, https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/associated-rival-mt10-3s-rtr-truck-brushless-446047 its a truck, cheap and durable too. here is the thread:
  16. welcome mate 🙂 brushless is indeed very complicated. to me brushless is like advanced maths 😄 with nitro i can undertsnad them more but brushless i am still learning and so much i do not know either and i have been into brushless for about 7 years give or take. from what i can see, you are wanting a turck, could you give us your budget and what size/scale you would prefer? the brsuhless carnage is a 1/10th scale for instance.
  17. sorry i have no idea too, hopefully someone will chime in later.
  18. i have tried them both and find the one with the car bulb heats up quicker than the one from modelsport, they do the same job though so you will be fine with the one you just bought.
  19. mine was made with a mini flask, so it was very easy to make. this is similar to mine:
  20. mine is the old fashion one with the car bulb so it heats up quicker imo.
