i was looking on internet for a quote and it was £00 so i rang my insurance up and they told me £80 for replacement as the crack got longer from lastnight. claim it is! they also told me that it wouldnt affect my policy too. never done a claim on my windscreen, my other cars windscreen has always been fine.

problem is they cant get to me till 10th of june due to bank holiday. i have now used clear nail varnish on the crack on both side of the window. hopefully that will hold till then.

cracked screen is an MOT fail if hte crack is in the wrong area.

A lot of policies include windscreen cover, but not all....so its worth checking the details when you are comparing quotes.  Plus, of course...cracks always get longer until they reach another edge
