  4. Lessons learned from today's little bash, mesh looks really effective and holds well, more high tensile materials required for rear mudguards, as one is now somewere on the green outside the front of my house.....

  5. Handmade mudguards and mesh, a nice day of tatting about!

  6. Hey Guys, new to this forum as I've only just had the time and weather to have a good crack at getting my Trophy Truggy run in. After selling my other nitros and writing my basher buggy off, I decided to treat myself to a Trophy for my joint 30th and Christmas pressie, money certainly well spent as it's an absolute blast! I have spent most of today having a little play around with making a set of of mudguards for the back and then aluminium meshing the windows and also removing the side were the exhaust is and replacing it with mesh, looks pretty good, if I say so myself. I'm going to attempt, once my slightly crazy 19 month old has gone to bed, to make a mesh servo saver cage for the steering servo, as I keep seeing servo savers all the time, but gonna have a crack at making my own.
  7. HPI Trophy 4.6 it is then......

  9. Hi guys, I have a S18 Hammer for sale as I am reducing my collection down and don't really get the time to run everything anymore. Ran well when last used, after replacing cracked manifold. Pretty much a stock rc as I never got round to modding it. Also have the HPI Dodge Charger shell and the ATV shell that I painted myself. All radio gear included, although the TX is missing the back plate to cover the battery compartment, (like it when I bought it) Will also include any other bits and pieces that I can find for it, spare swing arms, etc. Asking price is
  10. By any chance did you use a Tesco cashpoint? I had the same thing after using one,
  11. Dremel all the way matey, buy cheap, buy twice, I've not long got one and already use it almost every time I fiddle with my cars, so I can fully recommend it
  12. Haven't quite worked that bit out yet matey, not had chance,
  13. Hey dudes, Putting the feelers out at the moment, I'm looking at (preferably) swapping this for a buggy/truggy. It has two forward gears and also has reverse, as in title it is a rotostart engine and if anyone is interested I'll throw that in with it as well, radio gear is missing the back plate though, it hasn't got the original bodyposts in the pictures but I still have them as well as the front and rear bumpers. The body post in the handle is to custom fit a quadbike shell. Couple of pics and if any interest I'll upload some more: http://i1150.photobu...on/IMAG0110.jpg http://i1150.photobu...on/IMAG0109.jpg http://i1150.photobu...on/IMAG0108.jpg http://i1150.photobu...on/IMAG0107.jpg Cheers y'all TobyC
  14. Has anyone ever made their own brake pads and have they been successful? Obviously, metal on metal is never good. Cheers dudes
  15. It's for my HBX Black Rattlesnake, cheap and cheerful I know, but I want to experiment with hop ups and tatting around before I get a proper expensive buggy, I've just upgraded the servo and wanted to add in some aluminium or metal servo arms, have a bit of a fiddle like.
  16. Cheers dudes, don't want to waste money buying the wrong thing, all advice greatly appreciated as usual TobyC
  17. Right, after all the advice on servos, I got this one: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/alturn-usa-high-performance-race-servo-high-toque-/rc-car-products/359784 What I would like to know is would this servo horn http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fastrax-3-in-1-aluminium-25t-servo-arm-futaba-/rc-car-products/368495 fit the above servo? Cheers dudes TobyC
