  1. a 1.5mm allen key goes into the grub screw, tighten it up, if it works, take it out and then apply some threadlock to it. wont come loose again.
  2. im using turnigy nano-tech lipo`s at the moment and i think there great, not done enough cycles though to notice if they will/have lost any punch yet. i get all my batteries from hobbyking too, cheap as chips if you dont mind waiting that bit longer......

    Could it be?

wow, he looks very cool, doin his pose innit!! brap brap!!
  4. looking good mate and thanks for the shout!!
  5. bump offers/trades welcomed.......
  6. wheelbase is 205mm x 170mm ish. overall length is 360mm x 170mm ish. these are suited to the mardave v12 banger or ive seen them on tamiya m03 chassis` too. hope this helps, gaz.
  7. if they hold a full charge i would guess a hour for all three.
  8. hi, got a few more bits listed for sale, its all on ebay but if you want to do a deal through here thats fine. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/thestig23107/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562 thanks for looking, gaz.
  9. a good alloy servo horn is a must, it will save you snapping the one you have first time the wheels need some turning. as darkangel has said weight up the front twice as much as the rear, this will improve crawling no end!! as for batteries, i wouldn`t bother putting the battery on the front axle (maybe just me), have a look at turnigy nano-tech 2s 1300mah, they weigh next to nothing and will give a decent run time, so buy 2 and enjoy. looks like you got a great deal there mate, great rig/great electrics, couple of bits already mentioned and you will have a very capable crawler.
  10. i would say bearing blaster or motor blaster will work fine, or maybe carb cleaner (from a auto shop)
  11. hi, bought this for my lad but now he has a tamiya hummer and is not too bothered about this anymore. it comes with some extra rear wheels/tyres and nip arms and some other spares too, (diff rebuild kit etc). i will also include some stick radio gear, tx and rx with crystals (kyosho) pic shows ezrun set-up fitted but its not included in the sale. asking
  12. if you get a higher mah lipo it will last for ages!! or just get 2 slightly smaller ones, 1 running while one is charging. the occasional fast charge is fine but i would not recommend making a habit of doing it if im honest. axial are almost bullet proof too.
  13. the axial scx10/ax10`s dont come with spur/pinion covers (although they do them now) just give it a blast off with wd40 or similar, you dont want anything that dirt will stick to as it will increase the risk of damage. out of interest, what car are you talking about??
  14. i would not be without mine now. fantastic kit. worth every penny!!
  15. sorry to go slightly off topic but is there enough of that shoe goo to do 1 complete bodyshell?? i mean the weakest bits, not all over. with all the damage ive seen, looks like some serious bashing!!
  16. maverick scout is a half decent rig mate, biggest let down with it though is the heavy battery high up and the tyres are rubbish. if you plan to run it lipo and swap the tyres it waont be a bad one at all. but for that kind of money
  17. bearing set and alloy propshaft and cups to start with mate, then maybe a sport tuned motor from tamiya.
  18. that bit im unsure of to be honest mate, could you post a pic up of that page of the manual, could help no-end.
  19. you wont get the full benefit from the brushless set-up using those batteries but they will be fine, within the 2s-3s (7.4-11.1v) tolerences.
  20. i use spektrum stuff in all my cars and the black wire in each plug is always on the right hand side of the receiver (with the receiver writing the right way up.) hope that helps mate, i know how frustrating it can be.
  21. hi mate, channel 2 is the wires from the kit supplied electronic speed controller, channel 1 is the wires from the steering servo, and of course bt is the 2 wire battery supply from the speed controller. is there any markings on the receiver case?? should be something like s + - if so, the black wire on each plug needs to be on the - marked line. hope this helps a little mate.
  22. hi, i have always used automotive general purpose grease until now. a good guy i sometimes drive with (he knows his stuff in r/c too) has put me on to the grease for bikes from halfords. its bike hut grease, teflon based and its red, waterproof and it sticks to the gears better than anything ive used before, it comes in a plastic toothpaste style tube and is only
  23. thats some skills right there mate!!
