  1. Hi, few more bits to let go, to help the Trx4m addiction lol. prices are never set in stone, always willing to trade too, (micro rc & stuffs) all postage’s will require a signature upon delivery and PayPal fees inc. Rc4wd pro ten 1.9” wheels and Rc4wd Mickey Thompson Baja Claws tyres (suitable for class 1 competition) had these from new, fitted to the orange D90 i have, been a excellent combo, the tyres just come under the size for class 1 at comps. tyres have use as can be seen but theres no holes/rips etc. and still have loads of life in them. i would advise on some new foams though, they were “modded” to accept all the wheel weights. these are very heavy wheels as it stands, kept my orange D90 the right way up but i can also remove them should you wish and save on postage too. looking for £55 all in with the wheels weighted or £50 all in without. Next is a selection of bec’s for 1/10th scale crawlers etc. the first is a new in packet Castle Creations 10 amp bec, set to factory settings. (I can no longer access a pc to use the Castle link with) the other 2 bec’s are used but in full working order, i can tidy the wiring so its more stock or leave the connectors as is, these have both been set at 6v output for higher output servos. the last two i bought new but never used them, just a bit bulkier than the Castle offerings, all good if you have the room though. All 3 Castle creations Bec’s have no SOLD!! looking for, £11 for both bigger bec’s all in. Traxxas xl5 hv esc’s x2, both in excellent order and perfect for a basher, one has had the mounting tabs removed but doesnt alter performance in any way (fits into Tamiya chassis with ease). Ec3 connectors fitted and 3.5mm gold connectors on the motor wires. looking for £14 each all in. Hobbywing 1060 esc, new and unused just had a connector fitted ready to go, comes boxed with manual. looking for £14 all in. 2x mini servos, both new (were no good for the project i had in mind) and unused. There is a Hitec mighty mini and the other (can’t remember the brand) has metal gears. looking for £12.50 for the pair, all in. thats all for now, thanks for taking the time to look Gaz.
  2. We always clean ours with the hosepipe, gets rid of most of it, then let it sit to dry off overnight near the radiator. once dried brush the rest off and give it a coat of gt85 wiping off the excess, rc will look like new again. thats for us personally, you would have to check just how waterproof the electrics are beforehand, dread to think how many hours id spent cleaning them after use, now i just wipe off the dust as they sit there unused lmao…. But the method we use now is the quickest way and gives us the best results.

    fishing

@Stormbringer, nice selection of reels, looks like they are proper quality items its funny, my old man used to go sea fishing out of Whitby with a group he used to work with, he brought loads home every time too, since then he tried fishing off one of the cliffs in Newquay, all he caught was a £80 parking ticket, he was in a foul mood all evening and still doesn't like it being brought back up He sees the rc hobby as an absolute waste of money, that's why he has never bought me one…..he likes playing with wood, he has made some good stuff over the years but his specialty is a 4 legged milking stool, he has sold tons of those. It’s all good though its what keeps the old ball spinning

    fishing

Fair do’s to you guys, good that you can eat what you catch too. Me personally, that would bore me to tears sat fishing, never seen any appeal to it other than the film Jaws. is fishing for you guys as addictive as rc??
  5. I have just had a great 3 page catch-up, dont tend to come into here too much now, some builds still get my attention though. WOW!!! That is mighty impressive mate, not only smashing it with rocks but now with wood too, if i had a cap i would doth it for you!! ive read the replies from the guys, cant add much to be fair, its already been said! great work mate, always like to see the progress you make. now, are you sure you dont have a free parking space on the drive?? I promise not to snore…..
  6. Perfect for some late night running mate i actually thought it was a number plate to begin with looks the part on or off!!
  7. At that price point a combined esc/rx should have never even been considered!!! That a very poor show, the gearbox looks like it came from a scx10. some really nice touches on the other hand, metal gears, nice links, hub nuts and it does look the part, no good to me though, retired from the 1/10th scale a while back.
  8. Managed to get the Ir60 shell about done, not got any pics but will put some up asap. Mirrors are a bit of a pain to get fitted but being rubber should be much better than crunching them off thanks for the shock info mate, i have some spare injora shocks ill try that on. Forgotten how long ago i ordered my combo…….still no signs.
  9. Bump. about time to bump it up, still looking for stuff guys, Traxxas/Injora/T-real/Meus etc upgrades left over or simply dont need anymore. Alloy wheels/tyres (not black as i nearly all my wheels are black and preferably 60mm or smaller tyres please) thanks.
  10. Looking forward to seeing the updates on your course mate im thinking something like 58mm tyres on 1” rims and have it low slung. could you elaborate on your shock mod to get it sitting like that please?? No rush though mate, whenevers fine.
  11. Yeah, there is always some questionable parts used on most rc that look too fragile and of course a lot is down to personal tastes but id definitely expect more than 1 batteries worth!!!
  12. Bugger me @steephill, you do know how to get my envy stirred mate…… im thinking those wheels on the silver Ir40, they suit it really well, so should be ok for the Ir60 Yota.
  13. I know its not this model but ive recently got some T-real shocks and have to say, for the extra £3-4 more than the Injora offerings but are so much smoother. wouldn't the scx24 shocks fit?? If so there is, more choice will be available
  14. It doesn't look half bad with the high trail links, thanks for the pics too mate, appreciate it not got too far into which wheels as of yet nor have i tyres, i think it can be very subjective, going to try something not black this time for the wheels though, got more than enough of those, i do like the Injora Turbine wheels, they would i think look very cool on the Ir60…. had a little time this morning so decided to “try” and paint up the front grill to give a little more scale appearance, gazed at my Ir40 for far too long…. and charged up the lipos, next 3 days are supposed to be ok weather wise. Oh and put up a wanted thread for a watch lol. Also forgot to mention the windows are again fitted to the cab, i wish it came separate, makes any painting difficult!!
  15. Other than the wheels and tyres, thats exactly how i want my effort to look like!! do you have a proper side on view pic by any chance mate?? Looking at the pics, the links make it look like the tyres fit the arches perfectly. also mate, let me know if you are gathering up bits again, id be extremely interested.
  16. All sorted elsewhere.
  17. Do you think that set-up would work on the Ir40?? Looks to have a bit more cab space, my lad has the taller posts in his Ir40, mine uses the lower posts. im 100% with you on the electrics though mate, i like mine to be as neat as possible and out of the way, hidden. maybe why I didn’t get on with the v1 Tarantula??? i was thinking the tinted glass was a good idea, with the limited space i have all you would see is a esc and receiver however if you had smaller electrics then i guess a interior would look very cool! its gonna be a busy couple of weeks for me now, got numerous appointments etc. from hospital to college and even a tattoo ive been designated chauffeur lol. guessing most of you got the 8% voucher from Injora?? Need to work out how much i will save on my wish list to see if its worthwhile trying to buy now???
  18. Fantastic as ever mate!! have you gone for the Hi-trail links again??
  19. Just wow, ordered the little Ir60 shell direct from Injora, delivery was a week exactly and it was free shipping!! Postimage is having a crisis but i will get a couple more pics up later. i have given it a once over and found 2 small gripes, the stripes on the sides are in the paint and not removable stickers and they supply you with 2 different front ends, first is a very detailed Hi-lux exactly like the Rc4wd Tf2, that comes with 3mm led headlamp holes, the other front end is a much more generic affair, looks nice but its not as nice as the more “scale” front end, this one comes with 5mm holes in the front for headlamps. Also included is a basic 2 front, 2 rear light kit and guess what??? Yep thats right, the supplied light kit has 5mm led’s for the headlamps…… yeah i know, nothing major in the whole grand scheme of things but i will “custom” make a light set myself, just need the pre wired jobs off eBay. also, my lad’s F150 shell arrived and doesnt fit onto the chassis, at first he thought it was the chrome Chevy bumpers holding it off, removed them and still the front doesnt want to “click” into place, had a nosey on Modelsport but its got both F150/Chevy bumper mounts the same part no. So comes another wait for the Trx4m t bumpers to come back in stock lol. he also had one of the new carbon chassis kit arrive too so once he has built it, i want to have a nosey with it fitted to the Ir60 shell. im gonna have to have a look round for some more stuff to try and sell again….
  20. Once again, thank you for that mate, very much appreciated. For me, I'm finding the limited motor choice to be the let down, i have tried to vary all of them in my trucks and all have their downsides. Whereas the brushless route gets around most of the issues associated. I will have to see the birthday/Christmas budget will be, if i can squeeze a new chassis in, if not i will modify as you say the standard carbon chassis. Yeah mate, the upgrades are the therapy lmao, there’s a ton of choice to go your own way, ive built 2 from parts and bought 2 as rtr trucks (all Trx4m) and the only real cost was the Ford F150 body set. The Injora bodies are starting to give yet more choice, which can only be a good thing. brutally honest though mate, it was the little FTX outback mini 2.0/covid that started the mini crawling for me, i could go outside, pull up a chair to the “pallet course”, drink tea, smoke and play with rc with the family, life really couldn’t be any better…. and look where we are now…. My big Trx4 wont have been powered up in 2 years this October, like most of them, it always seems to be the same two Trx4m rigs over and over lol. glad your happy with your hi-trail, it really is a great little truck
  21. The manual shows i believe to be a TEU-101BK esc, the manuals are reprints and since Tamiya has now updated the speed controller with a rebadged Hobbywing esc… (no offence intended at all) most of the Tamiya stuff is all re-released of much older models, the manuals are from that era, it may be the case of a extra update sheet in the paperwork being very helpful in future. Me personally, put it all wherever you can under the body, as long as it doesnt foul any moving parts (wiring especially) using a good quality double sided tape, there should be a strip supplied in the tool bag, I wouldn’t use glue in the event of having to remove it for one reason or another. Hope that helps and makes some kind of sense lol.
  22. Looking forward to that build mate, sounds about perfect (as ever) i was going to ask about chassis, im guessing the diamond axles don't work with Traxxas chassis rails with the lay down servo?? And would the carbon chassis i bought off your good self (with a double decker battery tray)work or would you recommend the newer version chassis?? sorry about all the questions mate, all this knowledge makes for a great thread and will be cheaper to build a ultimate truck from the ground up than buying a rtr and upgrading…. im not a particular fan of the longer shocks, i have all 53mm shocks on mine whereas my lad has gone for 59mm. The Ir40 has 51mm shocks, it limits articulation but my goodness, with all the necessary weight its like a barnacle now 4 weeks tomorrow and still no sign of my brushless set-up, even sold out on Injora site too. Are the Furitek combos worth it?? Also found a combo from rcecho on eBay, never heard of those before though. I would like both my Defender and Ir40 to be brushless and was thinking about 2 different systems or should i stick with another Injora combo??
  23. Wow, there’s not a lot of articulation on the twin axles, maybe some tweaking and weight could cure that. and again, the cab is tiny compared to the bed, and that goes for many of the smaller crawlers and the bigger 1/10th stuff. If your going for the “scale” look then the proportions need to be “scale” too. now the 6x6 has been done, lets hope we get a 8x8 soon ppllleeeeaaaaseee!!!!
  24. Well i can now say “me too” in grey also, lmao….. i took my Mum & Dad to the railway station this morning and my dear old Mum stuck me £25 in my pocket for taking them, so its cost me £2.76. dont think this will be built in a hurry, id like to stick on those diamond axles and one of the brushless set ups for it, luckily were in the time of year where my birthday is coming and then Christmas. Although i have all the stuff from me dismantling the Tarantula sat doing nothing too…. i feel proper addicted to these little rc’s, i have a X-maxx sat on its shelf and sadly ive no urge to run it, id much rather use the little crawlers. I know, proper weird….
