i have one too, very good it is as well. cuts power completely until the car stops, then gives enough to get the car back to you. not checked what its set too but i think its 3.3v per cell. what lipos are you using?? i have a 4s 5000 turnigy nano-tech and a 3s on its way to me now. cogs like mad on 2s though from a standing start but then great. doesn`t cog at all on 3s and 4s.

it will work fine mate, i have a 13t and 30a esc in a losi strike and it works very well. fast enough to keep the boy happy and makes controlling it easy too, still enough power to do donuts if need be too.

myself, im a spektrum fan through and through. i had the dx3e to start with and found it very comfortable to hold for periods of time, well built with some good features. biggest let down is model memory. my lad now has my dx3e and it suits him too. i now have a dx3s which is a bit overkill and 90% of r/c for me is bashing but its because of the model memory i went for this, cant be bothered carrying one tx for each car i take out, plus its only one set of batteries, which is a real bonus too. dx3c next for my son as he now has 3 cars all with different radio, good price like the 3e but with 20 model memory for

im with these guys above. unless its something you really have set your heart on, save the money. something may pop up for sale that really takes your fancy and you can then jump on it. if your in doubt, then its not 100% what you want. thats what i have to keep telling myself anyway. problem is the voices can be persuasive at times......

does it have to be new?? for a little more you would get a good second hand slash 4x4 which do have quite a good reputation, never had one but a couple of the guys i bash with have them and not seen them break yet. or again slightly out your range but i have a ansmann virus brushless 2.0 and mine has taken some real abuse and still goes like a stabbed rat!!! for that with a couple of lipos and charger, more into the

my mate has one and for a laugh he threw in a vxl set-up from a rustler...... its a laugh but waaayyyy to fast for what it can do, its had 4 outings and the body is trashed, spur is smooth too!! i built one up and it only took a couple of hours to complete but if its just something to have a laugh with then go for it, as si said its more of a thrown together car than a re-re but it does look good out in the sun. power wise, a 13t ezrun brushless combo would work well in it. battery compartment will take the turnigy sized hard case lipos too. hope this helps, gaz.

i used to race a b4 too. cracking little buggy. mine used to win heats with a reedy 14x4 brushed motor and lrp esc. if you went 9t ezrun route it would be quick enough for racing and bashing. the only bits i kept as spares was a pair of front arms and front shock tower, other than that was more or less bullet proof. does it have ribbed front tyres?? i never got on with them, i used schumacher 4wd fronts (minipins in blue) and schumacher 4wd rears (again minipins in blue) very good grip on carpet. it doesn`t have to be stupid fast for racing, if the tracks are technical then a balance of speed and smooth driving will get you in front of those that go like lightening down the straights but cannot carry it through the corners. hope this helps, gaz.

looks very nice mate, if you want more ground clearance kift the body up a couple of notches and fit some bigger wheels/tyres to it to give you a little extra. as for motor/esc, not too sure on gearing for that chassis but a tamiya crtuned motor and tamiya teu-101bk esc for brushed or matbe a ezrun 13-18.5t combo in there would work brilliantly. i use overlander 2s 2200mah lipos in my scalers and they last forever plus they a lot lighter. a cheap hi torque metal geared servo too. you will then find that it will be a lot more capable and reliable too. hope this helps, gaz.

nice to see that whenever anyone mentions ansmann all the very knowledgable people stand up to voice how poor they are i had a mad monkey that was excellent, and now got a virus brushless 2.0 which if you see me drive you would say it was bulletproof, only the bodyshell is showing signs of wear and scrapes to the chassis when i ran it on tarmac/gravel. i may as well join in with the rest, if i were to spend

never seen that kit before, mmmm sems ansmann are trying to sell there own batteries then for these. mine was tiny, but just knocked up a alloy one, the biggest battery i have is 160mm so its now a tight fit but does work. thanks for your help mate, im still very new to 1/8th buggies at the moment

both of the slippers on mine are almost locked tight but have a little room to work if things go wrong. search around forums/ebay, you will find some real bargains mate. ill try to find some pics of the other one but this is my pride and joy,
