  1. hi got 2 pinion gears ill never use so ill post them up for sale. 1, 48dp 29t pinion from a vxl 1/16 slash/merv/rally kit excellent condition
  2. myself personally would not use it mate, lipos should not get hot or swell severley. sounds like a faulty cell to me. i would have a look at a guide on how to dispose of lipo`s safely.
  3. ill get some pics of it up today mate, im impressed how its turned out to be honest, paint is not 100% perfect but i do run it so not too bothered about that, last time i did a perfect shell, i never ran the car, just sat on a shelf.........
  4. yes i went with a brat shell (hard body) and painted it ford monza blue, got all the bits off ebay, searched tamiya brat and kept looking. electrics are my own, i always have probably 3-4 spare sets at hand, its using my dx3s radio too but need to get another couple of receivers for the next projects. i dont race them, but they do get used. @si coe, did race in various classes a few years ago, with a touring car, b4 and mini class but i found that there is too many people with there head up there own bottom!! thats not fun! so me and my lad have a gentle drive round in clumber park with the clumber rc guys and its lots more fun than having to buy the latest bits every week. i spend about a quarter now of what i used to when racing.
  5. your not alone mate, i bought what i thought was a decent blackfoot/brat roller of ebay about a month ago for
  6. hi mate, its no.2 mate, the battery, to be honest, 20c would work in a scaler/crawler but not anything too fast. just not enough ooomph in it. sell that battery and buy a bigger c rated battery. hope this helps, gaz.
  7. looks like a grasshopper 2 or super hornet.
  8. the dp is the pitch or how deep the cuts arefor the teeth in the pinion. you will definately need a 48dp if it does have that already fitted. the rw/ansmann branded pinions are great, there steel and should last a fair while. take off your pinion, on the motor shaft, is there a flat peice on it?? if so thats where the grub screw needs tightening, otherwise it will continue to slip. get a new pinion, some threadlock and bobs you uncle!!
  9. my scaler (45t motor, novak rooster) would run most of the day on a 5000mah 2s lipo. the trucks i used to have would again run most of the day too with mfu fitted with a 5000mah nimh. both slower type vehicles though. my 1/8 virus will go through a 3s lipo in about 25 minutes and about 30 mins with the 4s lipo, both are 5000mah. my tamiya brat will last at least 30 mins with a 2s 2200mah lipo. (tamiya dirt tuned and tamiya teu-101bk esc) as always the factors are how powerful the car is, size of the car and what your running the car on, (grass, tarmac, dirt, etc) hope this helps.
  10. thats one of the very finest replies to this argument ive ever seen!!! very true too!!
  11. i am mate, prefer if you come either before or after top gear though if poss mate.
  12. can you collect tonight?? if so go on then, 40 and the new esc. thats the second bargain you have had from me!!!
  13. tamiya subaru brat is near 260mm wheelbase, i also think that a pajero mtw is too. its a 1/10th scale with those sizes......
  14. bump!! still open to trades, either a cheap nitro runner or something tamiya (off-road) or w.h.y. ill drop the price one last time, £60 posted or £50 collected.
  15. exactly what i was thinking!! i have to get me some of them nanda blocks!! id say start at the 350-400 mark, but im not too sure mate.
  16. a 1.5mm allen key goes into the grub screw, tighten it up, if it works, take it out and then apply some threadlock to it. wont come loose again.
  17. im using turnigy nano-tech lipo`s at the moment and i think there great, not done enough cycles though to notice if they will/have lost any punch yet. i get all my batteries from hobbyking too, cheap as chips if you dont mind waiting that bit longer......
