For me its def weather dependant, usually always try to go out at the weekend, in the evenings when i dont have any home related jobs to do i use my basic 1/10 track in the back garden, there is 1 jump at the moment and its laid out with them flat cone things, when the mood takes me i will go up the track from my house with the crawler to do some trailing or somewhere else by car nearby

That photo reminded me of a pic i took a while ago, levitating ship, not the greatest pic but was taken from a moving car and a lot of zoom

I don't want my tyres rotating cause they do what I drive to your mechanic
Banned for as making as little sense as my last post on this thread

They look super grippy in that sand
There is a part of the dunes nicknamed “the bowl” and from the bottom to the top must be easy 50 feet of soft sand and its near shear, went straight up without any fuss whatsoever

Well that was a very successful day out with the xmaxx, these magmas are pretty good, wow they grip well! I did change my spur to a 54t since i was going to be running in soft sand

Have you tried the belted Sledgehammer tyres for the Xmaxx?
No i havent, the original tyres i got with the xmaxx put me off oem xmaxx tyres, i was constantly having to glue them back on and then 2 ripped all within 10 sets of batteries at most

Stock tyre/wheel is about 600g, so 1/3 more rotating mass. I assume running lower kv motor. Did you have to pay any import fees, as they are about 180usd for a set of 4?
No import duty to pay, once shipping was factored in and a discount code used that i found online they worked out cheaper than buying from modelsport

This is a side by side comparison

They look good, how much heavier are they as beadlocks tend to have more plastic?
Each wheel/tyre combo is 964grams, which is a bit heavier than the louise ones

Thanks for the replies guys 🙂

I have been wanting these for ages for and since i destroyed another louise tyre, so ordered direct from jconcepts, ordered on Monday afternoon and arrived at my house on Thursday, that is pretty damn good shipping from Florida if i dont say so myself!
I was worried about tye tyre foams failing and destroying the tyres and since these were bead locks i did this with gaffa tape
This is what the insides of the tyre and rim look like
and this is what they look like fitted, there is slightly more offset with these so thats always a good thing in my eyes

Does anyone run their X Maxes with out gear covers? Any issues with that?
I would worry about stones getting in there and cause damage

I get about 30 mins on a 10000mah packs, so around half on a 5000mah, but you will get more depending how your driving

After destroying a couple of louise belted tyres on the xmaxx i have bought some new tyres, the foams in the louise tyres wore away and destroyed themselves and bunched up and causing the tyres to explode (well thats my theory) so i have bought some non belted tyres and was reading up about putting gaffa tape around the foams to stop them ballooning so much, any advice on this? I was thinking about doing the inside and the outside of the foams?

Was noticing a lot of slop in the drivetrain and found these had worn quite a lot, got a pair of the thicker hardened steel ones for about the price of 1 from traxxas
