Was on a half day from work, so took the centre diff out of the asuga and filled it with 1/2 million diff oil, maybe this might stop the tyres from coming unglued all the time hopefully

Do you have to tighten it everytime or is this just on first install? How much do you want to bet that it makes little difference?
The little thumbnut thing on the top is basically a handle, there is a spring internally below it which holds it down into a hole in the latch body, so you lift that up and then turn the whole thing like you would with the oem latch

Was sick pf the body coming off so thought i would give this a go, so far im quite impressed with it, but am yet to try it

Good to know as the lower spec Hobbywing QUICRUN WP-8BL150 G2 does have Firmware Upgrade Supported on the website , just need figure out how 🤔. The cogging on stock gearing is horrible 😢 with this ESC 👆.
Edit : Hobbywing website shows firmware upgrade not supported so I shall keep send them a little email asking about this.
I have the digital tuning card that i used to update the esc, the v2 maybe they call it. I went onto hobbywings website and downloaded and installed the app onto my laptop, its exactly the same as what spektrum has but with a different logo, i wonder who designs their software for them as it has to be the same company, anyway once i installed it i updated the tuning card, and then plugged the tuning card into the esc whilst it was still connected to the laptop, the bluetooth version that you have on your phone is way easier to update

1 hour a night, wrong section dude 🤣

With the release of the v6 version that came out there was different esc software for more power and efficiency on them, spectrum last week rolled out the software that could be downloaded, so updated the programme box and esc and had to give it a try, it was nuts before but now its even more mental and will do standing backflips!

My original esc in my maxx went bad, replaced it with a max 8 g2 (still standard motor) and was warned there was a lot of cogging with it and yes there was a lot, turned the punch up to 9 and it was a bit better and then i thought i would try updating the firmware on the esc, did that and its pretty much eliminated all of it

Yeah typically Xmaxx bodies come able to fit the body locking frame etc.
if it comes to me sourcing another shell (or before i decide to sell), as Wolfie has said, the proline brute body is the one to go for i think…
When i bought mine you only got white in the brute bash, i see now there is a black option too albeit a bit more expensive

I have the proline brutebash body for mine, it works with the oem body mount system, yes it does still come off as easily but i see that gpm make an alloy latch thing which im going to give a try

Since the weather has been amazing and it has been low tide at just the right time i took the opportunity to run my cars on the beach (i suck as i forgot to take any footage), yesterday i had the asuga out which got cut short on the second pack as i heard a tyre flapping, but luckily i also took the slash ultimate and run 3 packs through that too. Had so much fun i went back today with the xmaxx and run 4 sets of packs through it, which again was awesome fun 🙂

Can someone recommend me a decent tyre glue, up to now i have always just used superglue without a problem, the corally asuga blows tyres off the rim on every outing, i may try some other wheels and tyres to rule out if its just the design of them, but is in annoying for sure!

Yay semi right, is better than completely wrong

I think these were called quicrun or something like that and came fully built, when i was a kid 1 of my friends had a ferrari 1 of these, i am sure they came with a pistol grip transmitter
edit just thinking about it quicrun is a hobbywing name so it wasnt that but do mind them

And heres me thinking it was of those cgi pics

I have searched all over the app, the instructions and online and the only thing i can find (which im not going to do) is turn off the lipo mode on the esc
For the moment im going to try the g2 max 8 with the stock maxx motor (lota max’s happening again 🤣) and see how i get on, if its not great i will buy the 4278 motor
-
Thats a mouthful of max’s! If it really is that bad at least getting another motor for it will be straight forward enough i think its a 4268 and a 4278 thats paired with the max8 g2
-
The max8 says the limit is 3000kv and the traxxas 4s motor is 2400kv so it should be within its limits and run good hopefully

I use a snap on gas soldering iron, it also works really well with the soldering tip removed to heat stubborn bolts https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/146455463742?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=x9lgoqkltxq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=MRHag3XmRgm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
