Thanks will look into them
Another Q is what size lipo do these take? And 2 or 3 s?
Thanks
I personally run 2s, something around this size pack is ideal https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/core-rc-4000mah-74v-3060c-2s-shorty-lipo-389027- 1

Nice, I paid £130 for one used (well £150 but I had a £20 voucher to use) did that seem a good price?
Thanks
If it’s all there and in good working condition I’d say it’s a bargain mate 👍

Will check this 🙂
I enjoy mine and I’m yet to break anything on it. Not sure if Gmade improved the quality of the materials used but all the gears on mine have been fine so have the shocks with no leaks and work great.
IMO You do need to lengthen the wheelbase and relocate the battery to the front axle to get the most out of it.
some R1 info and videos from page 6 onwards in the link below 👍
im running mine with 355mm wheelbase and a 2000mah 2s battery on the front axle

Got to make it wider, give it more ground clearance and find some bigger wheels and tyres for it 👍

Where do you normally pick your springs up from? I’ve been wondering about getting a few different ones to try out but the Tamiya ones I’m after are either out of stock or ridiculously expensive.I normally use Lc racing ptg2 springs from DMS racing https://www.dms-racing.com/optional-tuning-or-upgrade-parts/option-parts-for-lc-racing-vehicles/option-parts-for-lc-racing-ptg-2-or-ptg-2-r

There was a lad running one of these at our track on Sunday, really cool little kits!
I’m looking forward to running it, it’s a fairly modern chassis for a 2wd Tamiya and with the oil shocks fitted it feels great on the bench
