I've got another fpv build upcoming, but not a quad.
I've always wanted to fpv one of my rc cars.
The plan is use one of the walksnail avatar digital systems I have, moonlight 4k or v2 pro with a Caddx gm3 gimbal. It's a three way gimbal that works with the walksnail goggles x. The really cool thing is the head tracking.
When you move your head around you can set the gimbal to match and you can look around.
I'm not sure what to do first, a crawler or basher.
The crawler is going to be capra axles and cage.
The cage will be better for mounting the gimbal, camera, vtx, antennas and flight controller. And the cage panels can be removed or trimmed down for better visibility.
The basher is going to be a FTX DR8, main reason is the cage again for mounting / protecting the fpv equipment.
I'm waiting on the gimbal and then it's starting to building.

Gonna start building some of my NIB kits. Starting with the BT-01 Porsche, bearing kit en route and I have paint/electronics 🙂

Sad day today, had a letter from the DVLA stating my HGV license is coming to an end and requires a medical check-up to renew. That’s me up the creek then…
lost/losing so much now with bad health and it peeves me off.
i think the buying side of the rc hobby has to sadly come to a end, i can just about afford to put fuel in the 1:1 now, its all gone down hill in the last 3-4 years.
still could be a lot worse though….

Weird Question and doesn't warrant a thread really.... more aimed at @Nick& Mods
How Long can a User on the forum edit a post after it's put up?
I know mods/admins can make modifications...
have a ""exploration"" idea,
A master thread where togo in my area/surrounding me which is linked to a sorta thread with a detailed review etc...
As nowt worse having an Rc and nowhere to run it!!

£140 sound good for a HPi trophy truggy flux + Overlander ac/dc charger + 2 lipos (unknown size/capacitys) yet
look like a modelsport bundle tbh (stickers wise)

Great when you try to steer a new member in the proper direction and they get the hump and get offensive

Sometimes you just have to get lucky.
Brand new kit, built to a decent standard (had axles and diffs apart, happy with it) - never had even wheels on, literally not a mark on it. Plus a Fusion Pro, paid £380. Now to figure out what to do with it. -
It's been a while since I've last posted - small update to the RC fleet. Got an Arrma Mojave 4s when they first released them, it's a cracking basher (best out of the box RC basher I've ever used).
And my trusty SCX-10 II has just been sold, as I bought 2 x Element Enduro's from a friend who was selling up (kit spec with good electrics).

Dream
I have been out of RC for a very long while as no place to run them. But the other night I had a dream that I had been collecting the early Tamiya cars and had the shelves up. As my alarm went off, I was thinking of what cars to buy. Then after a while I said to myself what am I doing, lol

Just watched the New Wallace and Gromit film, and I think they did a brilliant job finding a replacement voice for Wallace, since the passing of Peter Salis
Forever a Wallace and Gromit fan tho!
