we went to parkley earlier and had loads of bites, a dang rainbow trout came near the surface and went for a wriggler lure, i seen it but it came out of know where but it never connected 😞 dad caught one though on the float, and he got to try out his light up float in the dark 🙂

first succesful test on new rod and reel, i think im in love with them 🙂 used 60 gram wriggler lures and 85 gram ones and a big sinking 125 gram one and perfect casting every time, that reel is perfect size for that rod with 50 pound braid 🙂 i can really chuck that rod and reel and 0 zero chance of birds nests plus its a lot lighter than my beach casters that i find to be too heavy but can do casting weights getting up to them with my new spinning rod 220 grams 🙂

looks a cracking truck and a bit similar to my kronos as well 🙂 think the only thing i broke on my kronos was the wing mount and a body post, absolute beasts 🙂

awesome deffo handles better than my stock kronos, that just wheelies every where 😄

i still use deans in 10 scale stuff only 2s and no problems, although as dad says my kronos melted deans connectors on 4s and it was a pretty hot day so i switched to xt90 for my 8 scale models 🙂

storage mode will charge the battery up to reach storage voltage and will discharge the battery down to that level as well, the chargers take ages if u try to storage mode a fully charged one, i tend to give a battery a wee blast in a rc car to get the battery down, if i charged one and not gonna use it then i do storage mode after whacking it in a car for a wee bit 🙂

never fully discharge a lipo as well 🙂

im enjoying it too and he thought he was driving it in eco mode but was normal mode, brilliant looking taxi loads of people turn and stare at it as its a pretty agressive looking astra and makes less noise than my losi mini b lol hes getting a house charger fitted for it so should be hassle free, then he will have to look for who gives him a cheaper tarriff on leccy and solar panels lol

best astra he ever had even im taking a interest which i dont usually do as much 🙂

i tried a 3250 kv brushless in my tt-01 years ago and it kept side rolling lol nippy on the 17 or 21 turn brushed motor i have in it now with slidier tyres and still fun 🙂

pinion gear on tight? not sure sounds like something slipping to me. does it have a slipper clutch? might be a tad on the loose side?

any one spot the heron at the end of my vid chilling out next to the rock face? it comes too close for comfort and stares at you, like its wanting to mug ur caught fish off you lol ( give me your fish or ill beak you )

went to parkley earlier and had tons of bites and dad caught 5 trout and i caught 3 🙂 really nice day again as well, the new wee fox reel is pretty awesome, casts good and is really smooth 🙂

to the canal and clay pit it is i can catch big pike and dad will use his hand lol

put ur hand in a 2 or 3 pound pike that can lock its jaws..... where a 3rd of the fish is the jaws lmao i dare ya 😛

aye useless teeth im like hi trout dont mind if i stick a hand near ur mouth, but a pike im like errr get the forceps out my hand aint going near that 😛

the best ones for the stupid freshly stocked trout were always the bright orange or pink ones lol i lost my orange one with a rubber tail that was hard to cast but it caught a old 13 pound trout behind a island on bee craigs, took about 40 mins to land lol still got the white version but half its tail has been chewed off 😛 lol

some pics of the wee fox rage warrior spinning reel i got for half price, 8 pound mono line for the moment 🙂 yay pc in back ground clear pic and winding arm folded back in all 3, feels a really nice bit of kit and has more bearings than my big fox 🙂 and aye dad some of my flies are truely horrendous and have had em since primary school but i made em my self and stupid stockie rainbow trout chewed them up lmao

i always got obsessed with how far i could cast with a fly rod and a few times nearly hit my self in the face, glasses are good for a wee bit protection lol i love fly fishing but a lot of places dont have the required space to cast proper, im finding im really into spinning at the moment with a bit of float fishing. (if sea fishing ill have a beach caster out on a big multi reel with bait on it and then go spinning with a spinner 🙂 you can make your own flies as well and come up with interesting combinations, just need a fly tieing vice and materials and hooks, can be pretty chilling and coming up with things and seeing if fish go for them 🙂

i still miss the tinkering and cleaning the nitro by half taking it apart after a messy bashing session up the dusty quarry, we got a hyper 7 nitro of some one from ehre went havers on it, unsure if were gonna run it as a nitro along side the few nitros we have left or use for spares or convert it lol still got nitro savage, possibly a intact hpi mt2, a ishima rave buggy ( that thing is grunty as hell sounding) a hyper tt and a wee mini nitro our old neighbour gave us like 16 scale or something lol
