Hi my battery tray clip thingy come open to easily. One came unclipped earlier and it through a lipo out destroying it.I don't want to go with straps but I think I sore somewhere somebody fitted body clips to stop it coming open.Has anyone on here done that?

Oh dear I wasn't going to buy another rc for a while🤔but I dread to think of the price.

Hi I recently bought a trx4 sport.I fitted injora tyres and beadlocks and a 12 turn motor out of my traxxas rally and on 2s its great fun.Loads more wheel speed and still crawls fine.

I got one of these yesterday. Its great fun crawling over household objects🙂
-
Not today but yesterday an axial ax24.I am not really into crawling but have to say this little thing is great fun indoors. The only problem is I love modding things so I can see this little thing costing me a fortune in upgrades😃

I will have to get some new lipos for mine in the future.I still run my 6000mah 4s ludicrous lipos I have had for probably about 6 years. One cell is starting to drop faster than the others but say it hits lvc at 3.6v one cell would be 3.5v but soon catches up again once storage charging.

I have the m2c extended hexes and 24mm hexes here for in the future.I have read the traxxas wide kit is ment to bend the dog bones prity easily but the reason I went for the m2c parts is so I can run arrma 8s wheels and tyres in the future.

Sorry it was the 1650kv motor in the video I sore.

Haven't found it yet, did see another few videos with the 1717/1650 though, not quite sure that's the route i should be taking. The motor just seems a little on the dinky side for an X-Maxx sized (and weighed) rig.
Maybe that is the one I sore.I will have a look when I get home.

He used the back plate off the stock motor and switched it to the 16450.It was a direct fit if I remember correctly.

There's a video on YouTube where a guy fits a 1650 using the stock motor mounts.

Finally got to run the x maxx today after buying it for myself for Christmas.Got to say I was impressed.Obviously no way as stable as my old outcast 8s but that was all part of the fun.Stock gearing on 8s is fine for me but I will fit a max 6 in the future and I have gds spur and pinion here if the stock gears strip.I also have the m2c wide kit here and the m2c 24mm hexes are on order so I can run either 8s backflips or copperhead 2's.

Ive always thought the ‘3250 mah’ wasnt how full the battery is? I thought that was how much ‘MAH’ youve added during the charge. Obviously a lipo’s never empty (as it should always be at least 3.0v per cell) so youre never going to put 6000mah in?
Regarding the 4.22v, Have you set it for LIHV? I dont know if thats an option on your charger, but I can ‘overcharge’ to 4.35v per cell (I think, I never do). I know some speedrunners do this?
Thanks I never thought of that. The cells were all around 3.8v when I started charging so that's probably how much mah I added to fully charge them👍.My lipos are LIHV but the charger was in lipo balance mode.

Hi I just used my sky t200 charger for the first time.I charged two 6000mah 4s lipos at 5a(I always charge a little lower than 1c).one lipo only came to 3250mah fully charged and the other 3233mah and on the 3233mah one two of the cells were 4.22v.Any idea what's going on?Thanks for any info.

Newer had any issue with stock hubs replaced only for bigger bearings. Running rear RPMs and front Traxxas 7737X (front RPM hubs have a tendency to bend and you end up loosing pins).
I must have got a dodgy batch of hubs.I have never had any rc car with that much play in the hub.

Ive not had an issue with the stock front ones, but I run RPM Front and Rears on mine. I do believe the new stock Traxxas Hubs are different to the original ones and have a bigger bearing? Maybe you have these
Thanks.I have the bigger bearing hubs as stock. The stock bearings fitted really nice into the rear rpm hubs with a click and took out all the play.
-
I am really not impressed with the stock x maxx hubs. They have so much play in them you can wiggle the bearings about and they just fall out of the hubs. The rears were really bad so switched to the rpm rears and now virtually no play at all.I have heard the rpm front hubs aren't very good.Does anyone have any experience with them?

I have one of those motor mounts but I haven't fitted it yet.

I still haven't ran my x maxx I got myself for Christmas. Its just to water logged everywhere for a brand new truck.I stated to dry wall tape and shoe goo the body.I got the back done and gave up as it smells really bad and the smell lingers for a few days.I would rather just replace the body when it's ruined.
-
Yes in a car park you probably won't need them but the last time I used mine in a park it was like a birds nest inside after only a few minutes.I want to do my diff fluids aswell.
-
My plans are to take the x maxx I bought myself for Christmas out if it ever stops raining and drys out as mentioned above.I also need to get my traxxas rally brushless as I think that will be great if we have another grass burn out in the summer.

I really need to get on with mine.I am going to use it off road but it's like a hoover sucking up dirt and grass so I hardly use it.I have just ordered some scorched slash lcg inner fenders to keep the rubbish out.

What's the best cheap servo upgrade for the xmaxx?I can't afford one of those crazily priced ones but want my xmaxx not to use up the whole field to turn around.
