  1. cheers mate yeah one of my fav Rc's and all done for less than £200! Insanely quick will be doing a speed run vid soon!
  2. all plug and play just may have to go smaller on standard pinion if you get any issues
  3. Good to hear you went for one of these i really love mine! Depends on budget really and what batteries you intend to use? im guessing lipo? I opted for a 4s setup which has been running fine but completely overkill if in honest a hobbywing system is perfect or you could even get away with a cheap goolrc for £35 and low gearing just beware of those goolrcs i have one and touch wood it's been fine but have heard it's a bit of a lottery some last and some just catch fire lol! Personally mine has been fine i run it on my 2wd Corally Triton initially in a granite and it caused cogging. Motors are great ESCs not so great!
  4. I use my s10+ for pretty much every video i make and always record and edit in 1080p just for ease really 4k is great but not many can utilize it yet with slow internet/pc's and 9/10 youtubers still upload in 1080p! What i use: S10+ (1080p record on rear and front cam) Boya-mm1 shotgun mic - use this both indoor and outdoor Cheap National Geographic Tripod like the one you have linked Manfrotto MTPIXI-B, PIXI Mini Tripod with Handgrip (This thing is a life saver and can be used as a hand grip too for vlogging style stuff! Smartphone Tripod mounts (Literally have a handful of these. Cheap cheerful and very handy to have) DJI OSMO MOBILE 2 or 3 but i think 2 has better reviews (Using a gimbal for cinematic shots makes a huge difference and nice and smooth footage) Also have a couple Ring lights which i plan on upgrading to a proper lighting setup if the channel grows over 1k Gopro Hero 7 white (Opted for the white as didn't need 4k but again if things take of will get a 4k action cam) Filmora 9 to edit and produce the vids nice and simple layout and easy to grasp. I tried adobe premiere and was a little over complicated for my liking but each to their own! Thats pretty much that mate out of the list most recommended by me would be the gimbal just gives everything a touch of professionalism nothing worse than jumpy footage can be had for around £60 now i think which will pay for itself eventually! As usual audio is also important i used standard phone mic for ages and a few subscribers complained saying the quality was poor so the boya has made a massive difference with the talking parts. GO pros and actions cams are obviously great but bear in mind a lot of them have a wide field of view which is fine for action shots but not great for vlog style stuff so using the s8 will be fine. Glad to have you on board on the youtube stuff mate been on the forum since 2009 on and off and properly back in to RC now so thought it was right to start a channel im no expert but i am having fun with it! Hope it works out for you i did see your channel the other day actually and you already have a decent amount of subs so will be good to see you doing videos again. pretty sure i can speak for everyone and say we will all back you and assist when needed!
  5. thanks mate for the part no. Will more than likely upgrade mine to steel then especially if i continue running on 4s!
  6. you would run a single 2s or 3s pack with different battery retainers basically just holds the battery down the one for 3s is thinner as a 3s pack is larger than a 2s 👍
  7. might be worth calibrating the ESC there is usually a procedure to set the end points etc Usually you hold full throttle power on then get a beep etc but some are different if you do a google search on the ESC might find a manual and be able to reset it. But could potentially be the ESC failing. I hope that's not the case
  8. Exactly i was very much a traxxas fanboy until i tried the Triton and have to say i was very pleased with it! Really can't see it doing you wrong should you decide to go for one and its within budget also brushless just supply a charger and battery/batteries which can all be done for under £250 i reckon.
  9. bump. Prices updated and dropped ESCs are all now £10 i really have no use for them so need to go prices include postage
  10. have had a stampede VXL and they are great fun i would also like to recommend a Team Corally Triton XP which behaves and feels a lot like a stampede as it has a high COG and 2wd wheelies like crazy. I actually got a brushed version and converted it to brushless but sort of wish i had just got the brushless version they are great fun, durable and good quality for the price! Just throwing it out there! https://www.modelsport.co.uk/rc-electric-models/rc-car-categories/9900/990010&ManufacturerID=5&ChassisID=2006
  11. those hobbywing systems are great i run one in my Arrma Granite! Which pinion are you running?
  12. Absolutely fine! Just as i thought it would. The only thing ive had go wrong is a stripped spur but maybe parts will begin to fail later on but have been running it on 4s every other day and is holding up just fine. Very glad i did it!
  13. can get quite warm not too bad when only running on 2s, i haven't actually run a full 3s pack through mine to see what thats like but i guess it depends on many factors on the day. Type of surface, how much your pushing it, ambient temp etc
  14. was the metal spur a direct fit? i would be interested in doing this to mine but i heard it is bigger?
  15. sounds like a plan i think i will go that route as well and swap in a hobby wing esc i run that exact one on my granite and its great!
  16. i was the same only ever used to run Savox until took a chance on one and doubt i will ever go back. Great performance for little cost just what we like! 😎
  17. do these handle wind very well? Considering one of these for some good shots to include in my youtube vids!
  18. Crazy fast but love it. May use the 4s system in another RC in the future but for the time being will leave it in the Strada MT, Want to try some different tyres on it as the standard tyres arent really cut out for 4s and interested in how fast it actually is just waiting for my GPS speedo to turn up!
  19. i run the 60a ESC and motor in my Team Corally Triton and i get the same issues no matter what gearing i get cogging issues i think its purely down to the esc not being very good at delivering power. Motors again very good though! for £35 what can you expect really..
  20. That hobby wing system will work fine. I have a lot of faith in the drive train i actually run a 4s setup on my Strada mt and covered the conversion/build on my youtube channel is worth a look. Have been running on 4s for a while now with no major issues initially a stripped spur but sorted now and love it! Crazy fast and almost uncontrollable but a hell of a lot of fun!
  21. can also confirm these are great servos for the money i have a handful of them and for the cost you really can't get better!
