Newer ones are normally turbo plug, the head button will have a T mark on it when you remove the cooling head. But you should be able to see the tapered plug hole on a turbo with finer threads.

Just take out the glowplug and have a look. If it has a square shoulder..normal. Tapered, and it;s a turbo.

Never liked those Macstar engines. Always found them harder to tune and keep in tune than most of the other options out there. Kyosho, OS, Force, LRP ....HPI, Thunder Tiger ... Even the Hoboa .21 motor was better. In fact, about hte only nitro motors that ever gave me grief were .28 Macstars.

I wanted a decent donor/spares/roller for my ST. Saw a decent nitro version of the Hyper, decided to have bid on it and ended winning it 🙂

I might need thicker shock oil for the rear shocks as well. Or maybe heavier duty springs as there was a lot of sag on the rear end 

Don't cheap out on the glue you use for the tyres/rims. Made that mistake myself. 

@Vr5fx I got some gorilla glue gel - big mistake..

I just cant get into AEW. Ive tried and I just cant. Other than MJF & Kenny Omega I cant relate to any of it, as good as the talent is.

Cordless power tools; rotary hammer, combi and impact drivers. Yes, I need these for work, Yes, spare machines are necessary to keep me working when a machine suffers a failure. However, ten rotary hammer drills of various sizes, three combi drills and five impact drivers is probably overkill. They've become a side Hobby, including watching multiple review channels, I love my tools and what they can do.

yeh that will do job my son and i both run the 2200kv motors on a 15 or 16 tooth pinion and they are mental on 4s lol 

Why would you even bother going this route nowadays when there’s better and probably cheaper rtr out there. Was fairly okay back in the day but these are no where near todays standard. Your money fella your choice

I wanted to get into rc again and also wanted a kit to build. I didn't see anything that I liked so went for the Hyper ST Pro. Its not the newest or best out there but it'll do for me, plus the ST is a tank so I know it'll take some serious abuse when its finally up and running 🙂 🙂

Had one for a few years until it finally broke its ok for the price or was back then, my only gripe was it didn't have rechargeable battery.

Absima do a lipo pack to fit these. 2s with auto cut off. 

I have no experience withe their CR3P, but have with other Absima products, and the company, as in spoken to and dealt with their customer service.  And to put it bluntly, if they where selling the CR3P for 1p, I still wouldn't let one past my front door.

not long ago some one made a battery tray for a mini ftx, cant remember who made it now.

I don't think a 3d printed battery tray would last all that long with my truggy lol!

Rubbish, I bought a kit that was in stock and the took 3 days for them to tell me it wasn’t, I’ve never used them again since 

 I called them about about a part, was told they had it in stock, and would double check while on the phone, told me they had the part in their hand.  I ordered the part, hour or 2 later got an email from the courier company informing me that they are expecting a parcel from them to deliver to me, an hour or 2 later I get an email from RCmodelsdirect, telling me that the part isn't in stock, and that they've ordered it in for me, and they expect to have it in the next 8-12 weeks.  Very very hard work to cancel my order

eBay sellers that only offer slow post really bug me particularily this close to Xmas. If they don't have proof of postage then they have no way to prove you got it so if you make a claim they can't contest it.  

There is no need to use slow services these days. There are so many options available including signed for stuff that only cost  few ££££. E-Bay sellers must be saving enough in postage to write off a few items.

Small sellers or sellers of single items should not take the chance. If E-Bay was tighter about postage abuse, there would be a lot less of this going on.

A seller is shootyung themselves in the foot sending any thing through royal mail that isn't traced, as theres little accountability when things go wrong.

Standard royal mail insurance for lost parcels is £20, so thsall the seller will get back off them, eventually

The absolute joke is... Royal mail are roughly twice as expensive as most couriers
