Kpowell911 8,573 Posted February 1, 2018 Not sure why we split the threads and lost most of the information, but it apparently has self right, Xmaxx drivetrain and is avaliable as a roller. Sounds promising Quote Share this comment
Oh How Original 7,982 Posted February 1, 2018 Another Traxxas stunt, pull parts off one, put it onto another, call it new and whack the price sky high 1 Quote Share this comment
bertberr 1,096 Posted February 1, 2018 What's with the twin servos? One do left turns, the other right...??? Quote Share this comment
Pistonhead 1,810 Posted February 1, 2018 They’re attached via a mechanical linkage underneath acting in a push pull action. Quote Share this comment

But this is a Traxxas thread so I commented on the Traxxas in question Quote Share this comment
babylon 934 Posted February 2, 2018 I bought an E-Revo back in the day when Modelsport were knocking them out for 300 quid, Sold the battery's,ESC,Motors and Servos, and radio gear,So rolling chassis set me back about 150 quid. Converted it to brushless, Thought I would like it, But never did, Seemed to fragile, Over engineered, To creakyJust had no character, Sold it, It still does nothing for me. babylon 934 Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) I just can't get by the price, As a RTR I can't see it being cheaper than current model which is silly money as it is at 650, So if they start asking 400 for a roller, I'll have a RTR Arrma for 450 thank you very much. You might want to hurry up as unless someone picks up Arrma it will go bust with Hobbico though ? It’s a very uncertain future for Arrma at the minute along with a few other companies all owned by Hobbico With this in mind I’d be more tempted to buy the Revo myself Quote Share this comment
mydoddy69 3,688 Posted February 3, 2018 The guys at Logic say ETA late March Early April and pricing around the same as the current model but no mention of the roller/kit version. Perhaps that will come later like they did with the TRX4 ? Quote Share this comment
monkeyboy_uk 657 Posted February 3, 2018 Looking forward to seeing some teardowns and running videos. I am tempted but I won't be an early adopter. I already have two truggies. One of them is a Kraton. Parts support has kept it on the shelf for me though. Quote Share this comment

I mean, HobbyKing can deliver this to my door for less than 160 quid, So it's not much to ask Traxxas to do a bit of swallowing every now and then. The reason Im pro Traxxas is parts are ridiculously easy to get. Its getting a struggle for every other manufacturer 2 Quote Share this comment

Well im actually going for both now sod it you only live once in this life lol In the past I’ve bitched and moaned about the price of rc’s but honestly what’s the point, I’m not going to change anything on my own same as you. Sadly there’s zero chance of folks clubbing together and boycotting brands to make them listen. So if your happy to buy from Hobbyking and you think that’s the better deal crack on life is just too short to worry about stuff you can’t do bugger all about. If they turn out to be a pig I’ll sell them on, do I feel robbed no as it’s something I want but I will shop round for the best deal for me 2 1 Quote Share this comment

babylon 934 Posted February 3, 2018 Parts are probably the biggest problem, The number one things that break seem to be the hardest to get, i:e The wishbones, But I bought the RTR for 250 quid, So was worth the gamble. I also looked at it that even if I had to wait for something, I've got other cars I can use. The next thing I'll pick up will be the Sabertooth, You could pick up the ARR for just under £160 3 or 4 weeks ago, A 160 quid, Should have just bought it . Kpowell911 8,573 Posted February 3, 2018 The parts thing worries me, Ive had a few models that were greta but parts were an issue to obtain (RB ONE R for example) and I always felt I couldnt enjoy the model to its fullest? I have this same issue. I am happy to bash my traxxas cars as I know I can get parts. If Arrma survive then I hope they improve their parts support in the UK. If they don't then traxxas won't have any reason to sharpen up their prices. Quote Share this comment
babylon 934 Posted February 4, 2018 Is it really ever that hard to get parts these days, I said something a little while back in another thread about the days before the interweb, Were looking through adverts in the back of the 2 RC mags (RRC & RCMCM) Or sitting on the phone all day ringing round shops hoping someone has the part, were today we just type in a model No:. Kids of today never had it so good. Sound like an old man I do. Quote Share this comment
