Why's it called a Monster Truck?

Much  prefer the look of new losi  scbe  intrestenly losi are pricing the mt $100 less than scbe

 

Looks like a plastic chassis and camber links, very cheap and nasty imo 

Plastic fantastic.

So losi have decided to go plastic. Looks like a once competent company have lost all compentace and chose profit margins.

Can solid plastic links be that much cheaper than turnbuckles?

 

I noticed the 'Vaterra' models started to become Losi, so I suspect this came from the same approach. Simplify, cheapen, and dumb down. Fine if the price reflects that. Not so fine if it doesn't.

 

 

It's a truggy

What's the price on this then? With the low rent chassis and plastic instead of metal parts it shouldn't be any more than £250ish, but knowing Losi it will be a load more........

Hmm, a company as big as Losi who mis-label a truggy as a monster truck, not a great start.

I'm a Losi fan however, but it certainly looks like they've really just cheaped out on this to chase fanbois who will buy it anyway.

I think there's definitely a market for a good solid 1/10 truggy that'll take a good bit of abuse and not cost a fortune.

Somehow, I don't think this will be it.

Probably because nearly every MT on the market right now is just a truggy anyway. I agree though, it's stupid but it's not like everyone else isn't doing it. 

I like the look of it, it's defo not a monster truck :-/

Looks like a vattera truggy to me.

as well as the chassis being plastic.  the battery is put in from under the car . not good when its muddy

Not for me this one but I'm still planning on getting the new scbe when it lands  

Grrrr. Monster Trucks don't have wings!!!

Strange battery arrangement. What have Losi done?  Why not use either of the existing SCTE 2.0 chassis? Why not just stick 3.8 MT wheels on the Eight T, call it an MT and be done with it? It's what literally every one else is doing.

Now...Losi...please either re-name it or goi back to the drawing board and actually build a monster truck! It's not hard.

 

Then, while you are at it, ditch 'bottom loading batteries' as they are a stupid idea. Unless you like getting your fingers covered in muck every time you swap a pack?

Next...throw out AVC, and bin the utterly purile 'It DUz 50mph coz it's Ace innit tho bruv' rubbish. Aside from the serious speed merchants ( ROSSA guys...I mean you ) generally people asking 'how fast mista' just need a slap.

 

Probably won't be investing...so I am out!

 

Couple of hard landings and wouldn't fancy the battery compartments chances! Poor show.
