Helion Select Four 10TR 4WD Brushless Truggy

    actionshot.jpg

Seasoned Truggy owners have learned what it is that makes the perfect blend of truck and buggy. At Helion, our design engineers have solicited customer input, listened to your wishes, and made it their personal goal to produce an off-road 4WD vehicle that takes excellence to a whole new level. Enter the Select Four 10TR, a truggy that turns your wish list into reality with its size, speed, and strength.

Take a tour of the Four 10TR and immediately you’ll see where our development team has spent its time. The vehicle’s size is the first thing you’ll notice: 1/10 scale it may be, but with stretched suspension arms and aggressive XL wheels and tires, not only does it look more like a 1/8 platform, it drives like one, too. Add the benefit of four-wheel independent suspension, fully adjustable, oil-filled, big-bore, threaded aluminum shocks, and this, you’ll find, is a vehicle that’ll treat terrain with total contempt and surpass your highest expectations of handling.

Who doesn’t like speed? Truggy drivers thrive on it, so when you told us you wanted more, we listened, we engineered, and we gave you a powertrain with the punch to put you firmly in the lead. Supplied with a premium 2850KV 4-pole brushless motor, a massive 120A ESC and up to 4S LiPo compatibility, speed and torque is not something the Four 10TR lacks. Accelerating to a blistering 35+mph, this one threatens to take your breath away. In fact, it’s so quick off the mark, we’ve added a wheelie bar to aid traction and keep you firmly in control.

We’ve delivered size and speed, but you also wanted a truggy with uncompromising strength; the ability to take a bashing and bounce back for more. The answer is in the use of an engineering-grade composite construction that, coupled with anodized aluminum bulkheads, wheel hexes, shock towers and steering hubs, provides incredible strength, delivers outstanding power, and looks a million dollars!

But, as you’ve come to expect from Helion, there’s much more to the 10TR than this. We’ve tweaked and tuned at every stage of development, adding a full complement of rubber-sealed ball bearings, heavy-duty steel drive shafts, 17mm wheel hexes and, to top it all, the new IKONNIK Xenon ET4 radio system. This advanced 4-channel 2.4GHz transmitter has a Beginner Mode, 10-Model Memory with drop-down wheel, adjustable grips, and left- or right-handed operation.

The Four 10TR — Built with passion. Driven with pride.

    ET4 2.4GHz Radio System

The included new advanced IKONNIK Xenon ET4 2.4GHz radio system has Beginner Mode, 10 Model Memory with drop-down wheel, adjustable grips and left- or right-handed operation together with easy-pairing to other Xenon equipped vehicles in the Helion range.

    Speed

Supplied with the premium 3500kV Radient Reaktor4T brushless motor and 60T ESC, the FOUR 10TR accelerates to a tire-scorchingly quick 55+ mph with the recommended 3S LiPo installed. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Our exclusive Total System Protection (TSP) offers bullet-proof temperature and current protection for both the motor and ESC. Just drive how you want – we’ve got you covered.

    Strength

Using engineering grade composites with a modular chassis design offers incredible strength but refreshing practicality. Easily remove the front and rear suspension in minutes for maintenance and tuning. Metal gear differentials combined with aluminium bulkheads, wheel hexes, shock towers, steering hubs and more get the power to the ground and keep you running.

    Appearance

Those champagne anodized aluminium parts not only add the durability you need but the look amazing and pair perfectly with the three striking body schemes available – Cobalt, Emerald and Lava – each working perfectly with the authentic wheels and high-traction tires with detailed white lettering.

    location look familiar?

You did not add the wheelie bar it was already there! must have been some development meeting, what did they do in the afternoon?

How can they charge £130 for the Dominus TR and £340 for this when it's just a rebrand with their electrics?

And those wheels and tyres look decidedly Traxxas! To me at least.

Not really, the Invictus is 4wd, the Intrusion is meant to challenge the Proline Pro and ECX Torment etc as they're all 2wd.

Unless I've got that wrong somewhere?

Ruckus, I meant Ruckus, not Torment.

So which is the one to consider getting? All parts will be interchangeable? Break something and just search on-line for whatever you can find?

Yeah most/all parts should be interchangeable but spares prices on the other 2 will probably go up once people work out the Helion is a rebrand.

I still want one but the high price is putting me off.

I think Helion have dropped a bollock with this....which is a pity.

I still fancy the simplicity of the Ruckus, less to go wrong in the drivetrain, but hopeless with obstacles.

Still, who cares? I gotta BL 5ive  (or variant thereof!). ;)

The Amewi is £270 here http://www.conrad-electronic.co.uk/ce/en/product/1405138/ or 'Extreme Edition' £308.74 which comes with 2650kv motor, 4s lipo, charger, tx with lcd display and dust cover http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amewi-AM10T-Truggy-Extreme-1-10-4WD-120A-Regler-Brushless-22161-/361608274519?hash=item5431886257:g:aT4AAOSwGIRXaTUt and theres a V2 version with gearbox-updates + CVD update.

299 with reliable parts support is definitely a tempting option. Is the Freeprawn version the very latest model with all updates?

299 also starts to make the Ruckus look pricey at approximately 200ish last time I looked.

FP will have the latest to market version and naturally will carry spares (provided Helion have released them at the same time).

Tbh, I'd rather spend 300 with the Prawn for a Helion than buy the 'unknown' branded from other retailers.....

Yeah valid point, shame it doesn't come with the extras the others do.

Aye, agreed. Funny marketing by Helion, keep battery and charger out of the box to lower prices, yet this is overpriced?

Hoping to get a hands on look this week....

They probably got them as rollers and stuck their electrics in them.

£299 almost there drop another £30 and it will be a winner for sure good on your Nige ;)

Has to make you wonder how this pricing game really works when you got a big shop like Wheelspin being out priced by a small shop like  Freespawn
