  1. second part of my birthday gift from @Skyesgaming came in today. nothing fancy just a folding alumin-I-um table 🙂 Fits Le Sauvage a treat 😄 Also...new Rotostart rod (wasn't expecting a genuine HPI one but that's what came). 225mm cause the one that came with my cheapy rotostart backplate was too short for decent, straight, rear entry. I had to go in at an angle last week.

  2. @ad456m I agree mate. That's my favourite remix of the song but Lincoln got it perfect with the original. He was the artist that actually got me hooked on Drum and bass. I bought the 'Confidential' album from HMV back in the day. Here's another couple of my favourite tunes of his:

  3. Technically not the postman, I went to the amazing TTP Models to pick these up. I werent quite happy with how Id installed the rear sticker surround on my NSX and these were the closest avaliable. Technically Ive paid £15 for 1 sticker, but at one point I was considering buying the whole TT-02 NSX for the sticker soo Tony was amazing as usual and sold me just the sticker set! Thanks again!

  4. My mate was going to visit family for Chinese new year and said he was gonna pop past RCMart on the way home. He was kind enough to ask me if I wanted anything picked up while he was on his shopping spree. My eyes grew big on expensive things and my mind surfed endlessly on what to get. I reeled myself back in and I had him pick me up some bits for other projects and this CC02 Bronco. I have been eyeing up a CC02 since it came out but have struggled with the price point since I am not enamoured with the body choices available. This is much easier to deal with if the price is a bit less(ok a lot less). It seems like a chassis with many possibilities and is nice and small with the choice of open diffs in the box. Perfect for what I want to do. I built it as per the box (with bearings and steel pinion) to see what my starting point was, I didn't see the point in pics for this as many have covered it better than I could. It was a good build as Tamiya usually do and lasted a few hours. For electronics I just grabbed the closest thing I had free, a 1060, CR Tuned motor and a low profile Etronix servo, this was all chosen for no reason other than it was at hand. I never fitted the body or wheels as they will be headed for a CC01 I think. I added a glitch cap and remote light switch into the Rx box with a little room to spare. I then fitted up a Proline Early 50's Chevy body and some Wild Willy rear wheels with Lunchbox tyres. Pretty much the exact look I'd hoped. And it fitted well but the body was a touch high for me. I grabbed the longer suspension ends and swapped them over and printed a servo spacer to move it down around the same amount as the ends had added and swapped in a bent Clod steering rod. That let me get body down how I wanted so I trimmed as best I could. I also opened up the vents in the wheels to 2.5mm and added another the same size to the other side of the rim, that was about it for the chassis and wheels. Next was the body, paint is my kryptonite and I'm no fan of lexan. I always want to try to do something super complicated and end up rushing and forgetting something important, this is no different. I grabbed a marker and copied a design I found on google images, covered it in masking tape and cut that down to match and transferred that to an A4 sheet and scanned it into the computer to make some masks as it was the only way I could think to match the curves of the body. When i cut the vinyl it came out not too bad, pen on the right, vinyl on the left. So I knocked up some side pipes and a bumper in blender and once printed gave them a quick coat of paint. I also got lucky and had a dry evening so got to painting the body and here is the final result. Looks ok, paint bled everywhere as i forgot to push all the mask back down before painting but it's ok for a runner, a 5ft body if you like. I ran it up and down the living room once to test it and swapped the motor for a black Sport Tuned and 20t pinion to liven it up a bit, the servo also needs swapped but it'll stay for now. I got a wee run today in one of the local kids parks, it can jump not bad and has a decent turn of speed with a black can in it. Jumping isn't too bad, not tried sending it but can handle jumping ruts and things, can handle climbing a bit and is just as you'd expect for a Tamiya big wheel kind of affair, a bit goofy maybe. Tons of bump steer from the CMS and my lifting the chassis made it slightly worse I expect but still fun and not uncontrollable by any stretch. There is the torque twist going on too. Sway bars might be in the future for it. I also swapped the body pins for ones I'll find when i drop them, I don't mind body pins but black ones on tarmac just plain suck and were lost when i got out with it. Things I've yet to do is fit some lights and do a back bumper, mess with motors as the Sport Tuned was kinda warm and shock oil/spings etc once I've ran it some more. And have a go at a servo on axle setup, I have a few ideas on that. All in it's gonna be a fun little thing and good for experimenting with I think, I really like it and want to get a bit more running in soon, hopefully on the beach or woods.

  19. Oh yeah I gots one 😁, picked it up on the way back after a session out with the Syncro, last pack smashed the thing into the ground giving it the big'in on a jump and bent the steering rack 😅. Took a nearly full charged 4s 5amp lipo down to 3.8v in 7mins ......why have I not got one sooner!!! Fans on it scared the cat they are that loud, he was having a sniff of it and did tell him "Captain Mog it's going kick in, move!" but he didn't listen.

  23. Sad day today, had a letter from the DVLA stating my HGV license is coming to an end and requires a medical check-up to renew. That’s me up the creek then… lost/losing so much now with bad health and it peeves me off. i think the buying side of the rc hobby has to sadly come to a end, i can just about afford to put fuel in the 1:1 now, its all gone down hill in the last 3-4 years. still could be a lot worse though….
