AC only? DC Only? Ac/Dc ability? Max Lipo ability? Life/LiHV/Li-ion charging? Lipo balancing is now usually standard but some are only 4cell and some are 6 cell.... I like the option of DC power, but hardly use it.... but in the future I will have huge need if my ideas come to life! weirdly a charger is one of those things getting it right is important!! as you tend to keep chargers a LONG time as long as they remain functional! My lads arrived on Thursday, just a quick blast outside and its got more than enough go on 2s for him, road was damp so plenty of power slides, and in hand it does feel very substantial. ill update with more when its had a proper run but as of yet, first impressions are looking good.2 points

I managed to rebuild all 3 diffs with some new/used spares i had lying around, unfortunately i cannot test it as im wiring a towbar into my neighbours car today, hopefully next weekend though2 points

I did a alot of research and I think I will go with Rival MT8. I know there's lots of bad reviews for it but I don't take it to the skate park or use ramps to do high jumps, it's not my cup of tea. I didn't do any kind of jumps with my tamiya mudblaster 2 and even that had loose screws and broken plastic on the slightest bump. I like the MT8's size and its affordable price. Iโll probably stick with a 4s and add the Suspension Upgrade Pack. The design, size, and price make it an easy choice. JasonPerrinRCVlogs on youtube had positive feedback on MT8 than any other youtube channel I've seen.1 point

I think dc charging is a must if youโre charging high capacity 6s batteries. The Hota is far more capable than what I generally use it for. Iโve still not used it on DC. But after buying 2 cheaper chargers I decided to just get something future proof this time. There are chargers out there that will perform certain task better, but I felt this was the best all rounder I could find for under ยฃ200.1 point

Bloody nora that's how you do it! , why blow one diff when you can take all three out ๐. I can feel your pain as the front diff on my dad's crawler started clicking an hour into the outing yesterday, didn't stop him enjoying himself but after 5 hours of abuse you could spin the front with next to no resistance ๐. I shall be stripping it down at some point and showing him the destruction he has caused!1 point

Finally gave in First impression it looks awesome though I think it could do with being a little lower but I'm not going to fiddle with anything until I've put a couple of packs through it. I'm not sure when I'll get around to running it as a need a battery for it and really could do with getting a new charger so might be a good few weeks yet though hopefully by then the weather might have improved.1 point

Check the bearings are fully seated and I'd pull out the shaft, clean and reassemble and make sure they spin smoothly.1 point

Made some more progress on the buggy. Cut out and slotted the rear windows and fitted the cut down back window. Having failed to find a moulded carbon wing , I made one from sections and sheet , clear coated and waiting till clear is hard to cut it back and polish. Just the wheely bar to do now , mountings are cut from 10mm alloy plate, machined up on the mill, sides are going to be 4mm carbon , and I have a couple of light wheels to go on the business end. Rear windows have now been trimmed to sit nicer and slots have been milled in for cooling.1 point

Do RC is brilliant his tear downs are spot on, not too long but long enough to show you everything and the work shop tips he gives out are really useful ๐1 point
