Christmas present to me from the misses, but am not allowed to open it until then, suits me though6 points

So this arrived today. Courtesy of my Daughter who is 10 months old. Not too sure how she managed to order this, let alone pay for it (She probably has more money than me!) I didnt think 10 month year olds understood E-Commerce or had any concept of money but fair play to her. Unfortunately its off to Santa now to be delivered to me on Christmas Day! For the record. “She” paid $210.58 including postage and VAT at checkout on Amain so £171 was the charge all in. No additional charges. It was ordered on the 6th and arrived 10 days later. Id have had no chance getting one from the UK as I was missed the original allocation. So to get one at circa UK retail was great Its also factory sealed in cellophane. I dont think UK ones are?5 points

Done a few changes and stripped down all 3 diffs on my maverick Quantum truck before i even used it as I read they come empty. I've never had to do diffs on a brand new rc car unless I've built it from kit form both front and rear diff were like this Centre diff Threadlocked the driver cups as they are known to come lose Added my ddf-350 radio gear Added body retainer clips Quick change of the settings and it's now ready to go 🙏3 points

I dont actually like the facebook, reddit etc platforms they all just seem too wishy washy, sure i am on a few and look at the pics but dont really post as you always get that 1 slobbering knuckle dragger that posts on everyone’s post saying that 1 particular car is poop and you should have bought x instead, just get lost min if you have nothing constructive to say just dont say anything2 points

Well not exactly model based but lipo based, got these lovely lipos delivered today and then immediately cut the plugs off and soldered on xt90, these ones were on special but the xt90 ones werent so saved myself around £60, £50 i suppose if you count the new connectors, also changed all the rest of my 3s lipos to xt90 except for the traxxas ones2 points

Thanks @Lone-wolf I trimmed the tabs off the axle and used the removed tabs as washers/spacers to separate the shock from the new brass rod ends of the high clearance links. Shocks and links all run straight and in line nicely. Such a satisfying mod to be able to reverse the diff in the V2 axle and get rid of the torque twist! Thanks1 point

I hope so, I like reading about others problems and triumphs ! The other forum I look at is very American focused where the idea seems to be buy buy buy ! I like to make stuff and enjoy when others come up with good ideas to modify or repair.1 point

Don't think anybodies moaning, just stating a fact - it is quiet on here, even for this time of year. Sure it will pick up again soon 🤞👍1 point

Exactly, the people who moan are the ones who don't contribute,,👍1 point

Just realised today that this model shop closed down on the 1st November. Shame really, it became my go to website whenever I needed servos etc. Used to be very easy to see what sizes and specs etc from their diagrams.0 points
