Practicing again indoors with my mobula 7. I love this little quad. A lot more agile than the tinyhawk. Managed to crack another frame. They do take a fair bit of abuse, and at £2.50 well cheap to replace.1 point

I used longer bolts and washers between mount and engine to raise the engine so that it is above the chassis when mounted.1 point

What about using longer bolts and a few washers between the engine mount and engine to space it up? Or you could get 2 strips of alloy same length as the engine mount and drill holes so it lines up with the existing holes and use that as a spacer1 point

I know traxxas are expensive but you know i think they are worth it for a few reasons, 1 spares are cheap in comparison to other brands, 2 parts are readily available, 3 they are well engineered and 4 they really are tough little suckers. So for example i have a maverick and it likes eating diffs i couldnt tell you how many i have replaced in it but parts are also cheap so at least thats something, exactly a month ago today i got an arrma and it has broken pretty much every time i have had it out and parts are expensive for it, i know traxxas practices are questionable but they do make a great vehicle. I remember my hpi cars breaking quite a lot as well in comparison, the only other brand i have which is equally as tuff as traxxas is a cen gst, only issue with that was the stock engine which it no longer has so is bulletproof now but parts arent readily available for it1 point

These look cool, but am I the only one that truly hates they run a 2 in 1 Rx and ESC? Who in this hobby wants 50 Tx's lying about for all your models. Don't most of us run a programmable multi model Tx that we have a number of models programmed into? Being forced to change the ESC and Rx to run this makes it way too pricey sadly. Otherwise I'd want one. As a side note, I also HATE trigger & wheel controllers anyway, so not really prepared to compromise to have a crappy Tx lying about just to run one model. 😞1 point

Nothing ever broke on both my Maxx's or my X-Maxx (at least mechanically, i did have the VXL8s nope out) - that doesn't mean they don't break, i know they do. 😉 I'm not arguing against the MJX, it does seem a good value proposition - my argument is more in the rut of "you're always one bad landing away from a parts order". And when that day arrives (and it will arrive, with any RC), personally i'd much rather have a Traxxas (disregarding my well known opinions on the brand itself) than a chinese rig (be it MJX or WLToys "long number here"). For known faults, the Maxx does have a habit of breaking the rear driveshafts on a bad landing. They're <£15, available basically everywhere, and are changed in less than 5 minutes. In regards to comparison, the MJX compares much better to the MT10 and Sketer imho. That all said, i don't have a stake with Traxxas or any other manufacturer - in the end, go for what you think suits you best. edit: as an aside, i would rate chinese jobs much higher if there was a reliable and lasting(!) local parts support for them, but there generally isn't. It's always "order from ali", with all the joys that stem from there - be it unreliability, waiting times, crooked dealers etc - and within a year, maybe two, spares simply disappear. Same crap different name with Hobbyking rigs.1 point

If they are cvd’s with a dogbone at one end, fuel tube, foam inserts or “o” rings wont work, the cvd it tightened up at the hub, if its too short, it will fall out, that means your going to need longer cvd’s, thats going to be the only remedy thats going to work. as i say, pictures speak a thousand words any will help solve the issue.1 point

New diff pins for the Kagamas centre diff that I broke because I am a idiot 🙃 all the way from Team Corally themselves with added sweets, which I've already eaten. Plus new driver and fans with mounts for the Kagamas motor and a bed for Mog for in the garage because winter is nearly here so should keep him cozy while he watches me work on RCs 🙂1 point

A 2s charger... So I can balance charge the smaller 2s batteries. I have a overlander charger and it gets upset with small 2s batteries. So I can now storage charge 👍1 point
