Oooh, just had a parcel land, opened it and thought it was the wrong colour on first glance…. Ready to be fitted….. It’s quite a bit darker than the online pics, i think if its backed with silver, it may brighten it up a touch. Next up is the Ir40 lmao….

Got a body and tyres for the Baja this morning. Decided to go without the side pods and seeing as the Flux version doesn't bulkout the area where the petrol engine goes i trimmed the body right back on both sides. Also cut down the underside plastic skid plate to make it better match the contours of the chassis.

They do that Son, see Father’s Day is June, so should be in stock if you fancy buying me one on a serious note, there is a lot of carry over parts so maybe a conversion kit might be on the cards, could be tempted then…..

Super fast and also the box looks pristine, not left in the carpark to get wet like most Evri deliveries.

So, our Ring Bearer was a Tamiya TT-01E. As close to a replica of my own car as I could get.

Bashed them! Little run up the heath on my own today (not tearing off tights with ma teef 😉) Only about half a pack through the buggy as that's all that was left in the tank. I'd taken it to a mall a few days prior. Still waiting on those wing parts to come but they're in the country now. (might mod the 'stuctural' wing mount and delete the wing all together as I think it'll look awesome without it) Next up was the little beast in the middle... My care regime for them seams to work quite well. Water tends to 'bead up' on surfaces and the whole thing is easier to clean. and finally the Mad Max mobile on the left of the bench This thing rips on stock setup and battery. All I've changed are the rear tyres and removed the wing. All done. drained a pack through each of them. Small breakage on the WLToys today but that's all the damage there was and that part was hot glued on anyways. Edit: Spelling

Added some top hamper to the wee TRX4M

Been working on the wiring, used the rx box I had bought for my crawler, trimmed all the random bits off the RX tray and fitted the Copperhead I had in my spares box Im going to add some carbon over the rx tray to getting it looking factory and I’m not sure the Copperhead will be staying, I fired it up and the servo managed to brown out the esc fan. I may end up direct powering the servo

Cleaning today.. Plus a little bit of damage I don't use water when I clean. It's not good for 'good' electronics let alone the Chinese stuff I got in these 😄 I just use a cheapy nylon paint brush to clear the majority of the detritus and the most I remove for a quick clean is the battery tray Rinse and repeat for the other two old toothbrushes help too. I wrap the tatty brush and wet it so it gets back the majority of it's shape I love this stuff on my CVJs, dogbones and diff cups I just add a little in each. It forms a barrier paste that keeps the dirty and the crud out. If I can't get the nozzle in tight I'll dribble it down the shaft and spin the wheels Almost finally done. 3 in 1 oil I dribble a tiny...and i mean tiny amount on a different brush and coat the whole vehicle very lightly with fast strokes Then a rough buffing with the cleanest brush and done! and just to top it off a little lithium grease on the pinion and spur (You guys will have to let me know if the pics are working. This is the first time I've used imgBB and BB code) (I'm hoping this edit fixes it) (back to old school)

had the wild one out yesterday for its first test run and i love it, had a problem with range which i supsect was due to the slightly dodgy servo i put in it, found a much better servo for it but not tried it yet, also had to dremel a few wee bits to get my big batteries to fit nice 🙂 my wee neice was out to play with me as well on the first test run and was all excited for me to play with her again out side the house so let her try the grasshopper, she knows how to do full speed ahead into things or steering but not both at the same time lmao and no damage to the hopper 🙂 think ill get that wee mini ftx crawler i won from here charged up as the transmitter is tiny and a crawler will let her get used to the controls 🙂

Added some bits to the roof of the wee landy Ive got some hi clearance links arrived today and awaiting the brass ''C'' hubs with couple other bits So hopefully all may be here and get fitted over weekend

Finally got round to opening up the transmission and diffs on the Element gatekeeper Texan,, all clean and fully greased now, next job is the new cab still a texan power wagon but all new colours

Hi everyone, I'm a relative newcomer having got back into RC's in January 2023 after decades away from the hobby. A number of things prompted me to get back into it, namely the interest from my Son but also the fact that Scorched Parts opened their physical shop which is local to me and David has been a wonderful help and influence. I regularly find answers to questions on this forum when searching so thought it was time for me to sign up, join in and potentially help others, too. I love the fact this forum covers all brands and types with a main focus on the UK market as many forums are primarily U.S. based. I live in Leicestershire and have built a decent collection over the past year or so which I'm really happy with and have learnt a hell of a lot about the cars and really enjoy the wrenching side. Here's a couple of pictures of my Cars & Bike, with the most recent addition being the FTX Centaur having found a love of crawling after getting my Son a TRX4-M at Christmas.

The crawler course is looking pretty good. This is not all of it. The cement is dry enough to get a go hopefully before the rain starts.

Finished second in the oOple Off Road Open Series in the vintage class! This was my first ever race buggy way back when I started driving. The car to have at the time was the Associated B4, but I couldn't afford one of those so I ended up with the older B3 instead. Decided last year to dig it out and give it a rebuild so I could drive it again. It's the first time I've raced the car in about 13 years. I never had a single good result with this car, I don't think it ever even won a race, so I really wanted to change that so it can enjoy it's retirement with a good story to tell! I couldn't quite get the setup I needed unfortunately, the car would either bounce around wildly or grip roll aggressively depending on the changes I made. I decided to go with the grip roll as this was more predictable. The rain helped a lot on Saturday as the grip roll wasn't an issue in the damp. But the finals on Sunday were dry, which was a shame. Here the B3 stands with the backup chassis, just in case it was required (luckily it wasn't). And here I am with the P2 "trophy" (actually an oOple branded bottle opener 🤣). The pink and yellow Losi won overall, a really fast car in the dry that I simply couldn't catch, but I was beating it on Saturday in the rain, clearly two different setup directions! Also Modelsports own Simon in P3, finished just one point behind. I'm not sure whether he's a member on here, but thank you for the excellent racing if you are! Fantastic racing and an excellent weekend.

And so it begins… This was going to be a quick and easy refresh - a new body (that I bought 3yrs ago) and a new set of wheels (that bought last week)…but that plan didn’t last long 🤣 So nothing had changed with my 10.2 since my last update 3yrs ago.. It’s funny seeing my first attempt at roll cage again…WAAAYY TOOO heavy but I learned a lot about brazing. The new MST JP1 body still looks great to me. But those old wheels have gotta go! Money can’t buy you love..but it can buy you new wheels 😃 This is where my cunning plan started to go sideways. I trimmed the body when I first got it, but hadn’t noticed it didn’t really line up that well on the chassis - it’s not a mile out but it would bug me not sitting square on the frame. I don’t think it’s the body that’s twisted, I think it’s the chassis - I mean, it has more holes in it than a second hand dart board and has been apart more times than I can remember! So I decided a new chassis was called for and after a bit ‘surfing’ I’ve settled on the Rock Pirates Interceptor chassis along with some other goodies from RPRC…the shipping is £25 regardless, so might as well cover all the bases and make the most of it. Anyway, that’s it for now folks 😃
