Yeah, sounds familiar. Unfortunately, I tried the screw technique and it didn't help. New chassis has arrived, though!2 points

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a wee while but decided to say hello. I've been into anything RC for the last 30 years, had my first nitro car at 17 and then progressed onto flying competitive 3D helicopters and the odd plane. Been away from RC for about 10 years so delving back in now my oldest boy is showing an interest. No doubt I'll have questions since I've been out of the loop for a wee while:D1 point

Hello *** Provisional sale agreed *** I’m looking to sell my MT410. Built a few months ago but, other than a run up and down the street for 2 minutes, has never been run. Proline Raptor bodyshell painted Tamiya Copper, the inside of which is drywall taped and glued. My first ever body painting but looks very passable, no cracks or scratches as never been bashed about. There are M2C chassis braces and shock tower/body post stiffeners fitted. There is also an M2C long rear brace, should you ever want to fit a longer chassis. The chassis has had a skin applied during the build, so there are no marks underneath. Chinese alloy steering top plate. The shocks have Tekno alloy top and bottom caps fitted. The plastic originals are included, along with unused parts from the build. There is also a Tekno steel spur gear included but not fitted, the supplied composite one being in the truck. Arrma 4s Backflip wheels/tyres. A pair of T-bone racing bumpers are included but not fitted. The truck has a used Hobbywing Max 8 2200KV combo running a 15 tooth pinion, a DS3235 35kg servo and Tekno alloy servo horn, along with Dumbo RC rx/tx. So, a Tekno MT410 with most of the “must have” upgrades fitted, in as new condition. Looking for £500 collected/local meet near Manchester, as it is. Posted for £520. All plus fees, if using PayPal. Contact me if you are interested in it without any of the electronics, so we can discuss a deal.1 point

Let’s be honest going up a tenner isn’t the end of the world as it’s already £150 over priced 😂😂😂 Rc prices are like 1-1 prices now stupid crazy, think it’s time to sell up and find something else to do1 point

Had a little drive, followed by a tinker. The Super 5sc has way too much slop in the steering, I've reduced it, but not cleared it totally.1 point

The 10bl60 would be compatible with the motor but it's not a "blinky" /stock specific ESC so the club might not accept it if they run zero timing rules. This justock esc is fixed timing and close in price. As AJ says ask at the club which would be best to use. https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/339468/?gclid=CjwKCAjwloCSBhAeEiwA3hVo_f9adx_b45Z8SS-o5Kvnnbb_VvOFlmZXNL6FnoIXvH-9V3k2K8u5ZRoCrQIQAvD_BwE1 point

Thanks. That’s good to know. So can modern receivers accept power from any of the channel inputs?1 point
-
No idea on the acoms, but all modern receivers share a common positive and ground, so it doesn’t matter what channel has the battery source1 point

Went to Penistone Hill (Google Maps link) which @Fred barlow suggested and it's an excellent spot, loads of parking space right next to the action, some really good bits to crawl and challenge us with! And fairly accessible for those not so good on their feet (no scrambling up hills). I'm happy with this place, so I will now decide a date and let you all know more details on what you can expect on the day. 🙂 Stay tuned! Photos from today (wish we did it today the weather was amazing!)1 point

Well…. She is proper bad arse now! Crazy fast, struggled to have the room to get her up to full throttle over two football pitches. Was wheeling with any spurt on the throttle at any speed, dread to think how quick it was going over grass?? After proper punishment the motor was only warm so the fans doing a great job, wish I had a gps speed thingy to see how fast it goes. The new shocks performed really now the oil is sorted. got some road tyres to do some tarmac runs, tis going to be silly quick! will try and get some video but am mostly out on my own so maybe ask a interested passer by to film a bit, there were quite a few people stood watching this crazy little thing shooting across the grass! the whole thing held together really well till I took a jump at silly speed, got wonky on the landing and it did about 20 cartwheels, it smashed the two left wheels to bits but nothing else bent or damaged so think I have a good combination of stiff unbreakable bits and bendy plastic bits. Anyway I am chuffed with my little vantage rocket!1 point

So my esc and motor turned up today, so fitted them both, bit of a tight squeeze but managed to fit it all without having to modify the chassis, just had to take a tiny notch out the bottom of the upper plate for the esc capacitors. Am really happy with how it turned out, had to cut out the shell for the yeah racing double fan but knew I would have to and it looks quite mean I think. anyway will see how it goes on the morrow!!1 point

They only fully supported if for a couple years, they did the same with the 2wd version, but at least that could be fixed with slash/rustler 2wd parts, the 4x4 shares zero parts with any other RC’s1 point

If you aren't planning on jumping miles the team corally shogun would be a good choice. The motor and ESC are really decent from what I've seen. The chassis and platform isn't the strongest though. The arrmas seem to be a bit heavier and slower, but a bit more durable when jumping. Especially with aftermarket parts.1 point
