  1. Plus one. 😎 Been working on several of my cars but mainly enjoying doing some little mods to my Losi SBR 2.0 truck. Decided to try taping the insides of the tyres to try to stop them ballooning as much and whilst they were apart I painted the bead locks blue. Unfortunately the colour is a little lighter than I was going for but it's my own fault as I used a white plastic primer when really grey would have been better. Still a nice bit of colour and tbh it is kind of close to the blue on the King shocks. Crazy how long they took to reassemble though even with an electric screwdriver ~ over an hour and a quarter to do 6 wheels/tyres!

  2. This is mine. They're a good trail truck 🙂👍

  3. I really am very seriously tempted and figure I’m already bought into 1/10 scale crawling in a pretty big way and can easily share wheels/tyres around etc With the DC1 as more of a trail truck in the quiver I could then concentrate on making the Sendero more crawling specific and the Carisma Rangey more of a scaler, and of course Krystal will always be Krystal…. 😂

  4. I bought the SMK Victory PP700W .177 cal. I have a Hawke red dot scope on it and the folding stock, I have also fitted the 1/2”UNF adapter so that I can fit one of several silencer/moderator/suppressors that I have. pictured here with the cheap Chinese red dot it came with and my Huggett Belita.

  11. So this happened today 😁 It's amazing what you do with some lolly sticks and superglue. I have also loaded the boxes with some fine lead shot to give them a bit of weight 😉 Both safely stowed in the back of my GMade Sawback, now I'm just waiting for Modelsport to deliver an elastic cargo net 😎

  23. I meant £40 more - correct it above - kit was £240 I believe its 313mm yes, so lots of bodies can fit.

  24. I paid £249 for my kit in November last year. That £50 saving will get a nice HW 1080 ESC with some change 👍

  27. Got the Maxx Shell mounted using the new cage that has been back ordered since forever, also replaced two tyres that I blew To celebrate, for the first time in I think forever, all my Traxxas Model were in one house, not scattered so thought Id snap a pic 🙂 I'm quite proud of this, because other than the Maxx and Xmaxx (which share the same TX) all of these are independantly RTR, with batteries etc

  30. Mounts the readily available options are: Hong nor motor mount, as fitted to the X2 Brushless, X3 and LX2e - it's an elliptical design, so has limited pinion adjustment. Non uk retail that I know of, but available many places abroad. http://www.rc-willpower.com/Cart/index.php?route=product/product&path=145_217_255&product_id=10407&sort=p.price&order=DESC GRC custom: https://www.grcworks.gr/ofna_en/025_en Again not in UK, nicely machined. Discontinued mounts include: RCMonster - long discontinued, might find new one in states. Absima 2310001 conversion kit - stocks we're thin on the ground years ago. Yes, the HN parts themselves - mount, servo mount and battery tray was cheaper than buying mount and tray separately. At one time pre RC-Willpower price hikes there we're some great deals on the kit - I know I stocked up. Spurs - No need to go smaller, you can get a hobao 52t centre diff in without modification - though the spur will prob just poke out the bottom enough to catch fingers - a skid plate will solve that. I have a Hong Nor mount new, but just fitted to a conversion - if you can't wait for one from abroad let me know. c

  31. Day 2 was amazing, didnt manage king of the mallet as lots of entries and simply would have taken up to much of the morning, also didnt want to ruin the trucks before completing the trails ahead. Trx4 came away with no breakages, still running stock servo. 😵 A great event for young and old, steady footing and study shoes critical as wild dinosaurs are on the loose around the track! Really worth the trip! Gate 13 "not acutally gate 13" was a real challenge, didnt make it but enjoyed watching others attempt it more than holding up the queue and doing it myself. The highrock did well the whole weekend but didnt do all the gates the trx4 did, was fun either way till it killed another servo. The forest trails 200 gates of hidden gold! Day 2 victims, 1 servo Total damage tally - highrock 2 etronix 28kg servos, 1 outlaw diff Well done to the SST team for such a cracking event, cant wait to see what next year brings!

  33. Also picked up this pistol, a Artemis PP700SA, was a bargain at £140 brand new, then I added the folding stock, top rail, Red Dot and moddy, £300 all in with the case, makes an awesome plinker and it’s stupidly accurate I sold the Webley, well I broke it down and sold it as spares on eBay, doubled my money and paid for the PP700 😆

  34. That Proton’s handling really was by Lotus though, and while it was a bit lacking in refinement, it was known for being a lot more fun than the Golf GTi of the time. I’d still have bought the Golf, my point is just that the handling they referred to on the naff stickers was very good. It would be nice if this was the same, but we’ll have to see. If it’s a competent cut price 1:8 race buggy then good for them. The racing crowd will have little patience for quality issues though.

  35. What a great site! Really well layed out gates. Gangs ready to take it on. Came across gentleman driving a crack van, what a machine and beard! Lads basically speed running the course with the trx4, unstoppable. Current victims 1 outlaw diff, one highrock servo. Day 2 King of the mallet and the rest of the gates, really do need 2 days to do the course.

  37. Yeah mine gets plenty of abuse and no issues so far, it’s been a bit of a tank and held up to everything I’ve put it threw. Out of the box it needs one of these https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/ftx-dr8-rear-aluminium-lower-cnc-suspension-mount-blue--1332939

  38. Update to this project. Back in the last event i managed to beat my PB again and ran a 126! 🙂 No video unfortunately as it was one of the last runs of the event. I was endlessly searching ebay a week or so ago and i found a very strange body shell. Made from ABS so its pretty old, but has a fantastic body shape for speed running so i thought id give it a go. The paint was pretty poor and the shell was in a bit of a state, this is what it looked like when i got it. I've learnt from experience that running a black body shell on a speed car is an extremely bad idea as you can't see the bloody thing, so i gave it a nice yellow re-paint with a bit of splatter 🙂 First time doing that and tbh im unsure if i actually like it yet, but its definitely an improvement lol I will be running this one more time at the Scorched RC Speed Frenzy week at Darley Moor, hoping to maybe push 130 to end the year 🙂

  41. 3 weeks Blackpool honda have had my bike and after really bad customer service seems they are managing to fix my bike at the end of this week. That's is if it's what they think it is and it hasn't been the gearbox eating itself. Absolute joke not to mention if I had a way to get it back I'd have done it myself as they will not Warrent the Warrenty of the bike.
