  1. Got an SCX10 chassis and set about building a basher, not a shelfer. had no idea what shell to use, everything seemed to be out of stock or mega bucks. While having a clear out found a chinese clone D90 shell and started thinking..... Few days later I had a couple of ideas and set off, not really sure what I was doing or which way it would end up Anyway, masking tape and a pencil..... Lots of dust, bits glue and filler .... Sanded, painted and this is the result Not sure which way the rear is going to end up, trayback, cage or maybe just as is. Whatever, it is going to be a used and abused Few more bits on their way and more pics as I progress ๐Ÿ‘

  2. Finally a drill and some Hudy tips to work on the cars. The worst part of dismantling and rebuilding is the time it takes to manually wind screws. Next job will be done in double time!!

  5. A bit more done today on the CC-01 but come to a halt as the Yeah steering links appear to foul on the chassis, spent to long going over & over what Iโ€™ve done wrong, so will give it a rest and may be all will become clear next time I look at it.

  7. Now weโ€™re moving, have had the Outlaw up over 50mph today, 53.69mph ๐Ÿ˜Ž Thatโ€™s quite a good increase just from lowering the front, over 6.5mph - itโ€™s still on stock tyres too, you should see them balloon! ๐Ÿคฃ

  13. Personally I'd get a Hobao Hyper VSE 150a for what you described. Way cheaper, known for durability and replacement parts don't cost a ridiculous amount.

  16. Arrived yesterday my XV-01, it will likely sit on a shelf now whilst I do the CC-01 build, which I have actually just made a start on, at last and I also have a TT-02s waiting in the wings to do first, so this one could be a Christmas build

  27. Cant see the point of putting road tyres and attempting to get big MPH out of an E Revo. Just buy an Infraction or Something? Its an off road truck, gear it for 50ish and use it off road

  30. I have a couple of Keep 2S lipos, the 40C versions which I run in series in my wife's hyper. No issues with them at all, hard case too which is a bonus. The other batteries I use are the Vorjay 80Cs, other than a clear difference in punch, they all behave the same. As long as they fit your requirements and you exercise general lipo safety measures, you should be fine ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

  34. At last, I have made a start on the CC-01 Defender 90, not done much, sorted the bags out, got my kit ready, done the motor, blobs of threadlock already on the user manual and then Margaret calls me into make coffee, maybe I should have bought a coffee machine that she finds easier to use ๐Ÿ˜‚ Will be back on it in half an hour.

  36. Started my next little project... My all time favourite F1 car is the FW08B, it was never raced however I've seen it at several events and loved it. It's 4 wheel drive and uses 4 wheels at the rear to drive it. The FIA outlawed them before the season started as they were too quick. The body is a 98T, the last to use the John player special livery! I'm going between a hybrid of two of my favourite F1 cars.

  39. Here is my home-brewed torsion-chassis Kri-Kri. It uses Bully II axles and Etronix 27t motors. There is an extra 250g of lead in each of the Axial front wheels, which have Bully tyres for rock climbing. The rear tyres are GMade Bighorn to give more grip in loose terrain. The Kri-Kri thrives on really rough ground and the loose sharp-edged rocks that we get in old quarries around here. The high-clearance chassis makes it easy to get up steps and over big rocks. It even manages long grass and rushes without trouble. Top speed is 10 kph on 2S, and 15 kph on 3S. I tried the two-stick setup that aPpYe uses, but I found it too complicated in practice. I use an FrSky Taranis X9Lite, with throttle on the left and steering on the right. The left shoulder switch selects 2-wheel or 4-wheel steering. The right shoulder switch selects 1-stick or 2-stick 4-wheel steering. Switch A up or down selects forward or reverse bias for climbs or descents to ensure the car stops with the stick neutral. Switch B up on all my cars is the Kill switch and the Tx will only turn on with this in Kill position. Centre position is unlimited power. Down engages the rotary knob for for power limit from 20 to 60 %. Switch C up or down selects Dig or rear freewheel. With Dig on and 4-wheel steering Kr-Kri can almost turn in its own length!

  40. DIY... I need to give the wood another coat of paint however it's looking ok. I've got plans to fill the 3rd spot however 4th is TBC but will no doubt a 210-225mm wheelbase as I've got a lorry shell.

  41. i think these look like extremely good value for money and from a couple of videos I have seen on YouTube they look like they go pretty well also, the only think that stops me is the lack of parts support. Edit: I stand corrected it seems like Modelsport do some spares, but unsure for what models they cover
